Hughes is an rb, who projects as a FB in college.

He is out of Chicago IL (hubbard)

His numbers are

Height: 6-foot-0

Weight: 220 pounds

40-yard dash: 4.6 seconds

He is a member of rivals pre-evaluation 100

If he does get an offer, I bet it will be some time before he does receive one.

Hughes just received 2 offers: Miss. State and Minnesota. He previously had offers from Kansas State, Ok State, Illinois, Virginia, Purdue, and Michigan.

he is friends with D. Jones and is taking a trip this Saturday with D to see a ND practice.

He was in Ann Arbor this past weekend and enjoyed the trip.

He will also be at the Blue and Gold Game with Double D Jones, Sergio Brown and Miles Stroter.

This guy isn't an H-back type like Luke Schmidt is, but he can catch anything according to those who have seen him play and runs between the bookends hard and fast.

at this point, I really do not see the schollies numbers allowing for mr. hughes to come in, he is a fullback type

Here's how I think the numbers play

1 QB

1 RB

3 WR

1 TE

4 OL

3 DE

3 DT

4 LB

2 CB

1 S

that equals 23 which means we have two spots left, I say one of those goes to a big body who could be OL or DL just depending, so that leaves us with one, if chiro is right that spot will go to a second QB, I think it goes to an athlete, who could play safety or wr, but that is precisely the problem for hughes he will be fighting for one of the last two schollies and he hasnt even got an offer yet, i just dont see it happening

depending on how Price does punting this year, one of those spots could go to a punter. I agree with the breakdown that TD provided. I do think one of the remaining 2 spots will go to another RB. We could use an all around type of RB (Tyler) and a speed/3rd down back (Armando Allen). RB is also the most versatile position.

I agree TD. he's just one too many of a bunch. Let him drool on a what if tho. :)

Here's how I think the numbers play

1 QB

1 RB

3 WR

1 TE

4 OL

3 DE

3 DT

4 LB

2 CB

1 S

i like that except i'd take 2-TEs, 4-DTs

1 QB

2 RB

3 WR

1 TE

5 OL (3 tackles)

3 DE

3 DT

4 LB

3 DB (2 corners)

This is the latest I've seen recently. Apparently the staff really wants to take another "full" offensive line in the class. Probably not a bad idea when you look at the depth chart.

I agree with the idea of taking 4 DT, but with Reuland and Yeatman in the fold with another TE coming in they should be set. And there is always Paddy Mullen, too, should they decide to use him on offense.

Fine, here's my call (subject to chang 1,000 times):

QB: 1

RB: 2

WR: 3

TE: 2

OL: 4

DE: 3

DT: 3

LB: 3

CB: 2

S: 1

Athlete: 1

Broker...the staff has already said that it definitely wants 4 LBs. Figured I would throw that in there for you, and I believe the post before is correct on the 5 OL.

I say we take another Pitcher...Just like the SHARK!!!

I'd like to get numbers of defense to plug all the gaping holes on the depth chart and get talent on offense. I mean obviously I want both for both, but I think our defensive depth chart needs to be filled in more as it will continue to be a work in progress over the next few recruiting cycles.
