This varies with what I heard, I'll try to get the story again and verify the details. The REAL question is...Do you think a certain player let a smaller, quicker guy rush past him and hit Jimmy from his blindside??(Sorry couldn't help myself)

Wait a second....

 

A "fan" makes a comment to JC and/or a girlfriend and Jimmy get's sucker punched? 1 and 2 isn't adding up to 3 here. People that only visit here are making an bunch of assumptions. First off, that JC didn't provoke this after the comment was made...especially if a girl was there to be impressed. Secondly, SB is only a couple miles from the Michigan state line and, as such, we have a bunch of Michigan fans in the area. Third, CJ's is in a shitty area and there are, in my opinion, a lot of minority residents in the area that don't like ND because they think the students are all rich prima donnas. ANY of these things could be cause for the incident. Jimmy is definitely known around campus as being a dick. I've heard it from countless students. So don't yet paint him the victim.

Well, looks like Jimmy will not be back next year for sure now.

I'm sure the rumor mill will have a lot of different versions of what happened. Does this remind anyone else of the movie "The Program" with Joe Kane the star QB from the fictional ESU? He got in a bar fight under a similar scenario and it ruined his Heisman run. Great movie with Halle Berry in her early days. What's next....one of the D-lineman smashing their head through a car window after they make the starting lineup and earn their "place at the table.";)

 

But seriously, you have to be one mentally tough kid to deal with all the BS that comes with being the QB at Notre Dame.
