At the players' tailgate last night, someone scuffled with Jimmy and his parents were apparently furious and were saying things such as thank god you're only here for another couple of months, or something of a similar nature. Firsthand account from a very reliable source who was there.

May have just been his parents speaking in the heat of the moment but if nothing else its more writing on an already crowded wall. Good luck in the NFL Jimmy

...best QB to ever finish his career with a record under .500?...

Clausen has been a pleasure to watch. He will be going pro I am sure and he should go pro. :(

One of the Chicago papers is saying that Golden Tate said he will most likely go pro after he talks to Weis at the end of the season. Jimmy is a good QB. So was Dan Marino. I can't remember how many Superbowls he won.

Scuffled with who? Other players, or fans?

Wow you guys are terrible fans if you're really saying its Clausen's fault he was .500. How the hell could you blame Clausen for the defense and O-Line he has been dealt....

It sucks because with all the hype and excitement coming in...the lebron james of football etc...I just don't feel like he's done:(

Unfortunately, I can't erase the Hawaii bowl out of my memory.

friend of a player

It doesn't matter. He's gone.

++ then this is 2nd 3rd hand?? I don't mean toquestion but that is what it is.

I have my doubts about Jimmy's abilities. I think Quinn was a much better QB.

Based on what?

I think they're both a product of hype and inflated thanks to exceptional EXCEPTIONAL receivers...

Quinn had Shark. You can count Stovall the year before, but Rhema wasn't that good. He was actually a bust for the hype he came in with. You could argue Carlson and Fasano, but who were the third and fourth receivers? We didn't have near the playmakers that Jimmy has.

Jimmy has serious difficulty reading the second receiver. It takes him forever to find him. Jimmy is notorious for locking in on one receiver, never pump fakes, and loves to throw that stupid deep fade, instead of going with simple routes. He was better in the UConn game; but it's taken him a long time to start learning to hit shorter routes. Also, did you see how many times he threw it behind receivers yesterday? I mean, cmon, dude. You're an NFL prospect. Figure it out. I just don't see the same higher level thinking out of Jimmy that I saw out of Quinn.

Hype? Quinn was brought in late and wasn't even on the radar for us until we saw him while recruiting someone else. I would definitely disagree with you on the hype comment for Quinn. Brady was a great college QB but he was NEVER as accurate as Jimmy. It is too soon to tell if he will ever be a great NFL QB.

Jimmy came in with a ton of hype and wasn't living up to that hype until this year. I don't see how you can look at his body of work, especially this year, and say that he isn't a quality QB. He will be a star in the NFL. He can make every throw on the field, he is football smart and has been raised in a complicated system that is basically an NFL offense.
