I'm sick of everyone being a little girl about Meyer "just not being such a nice fella, shucks." Do you want to be nice to everyone, or win? Hell if we wanna be nice let's just spot every other team 14 points off the start? That would be the nice thing to do after all.

Why don't you guys get it? Everyone hates Notre Dame and the whole point of being a Notre Dame fan is to do everything the right way, kick everyone's a$$ and then gloat about it.

Ultimately you guys all hate Meyer because he does only what is best for HIS program. He wins and puts Florida as the only priority. He's not a bad guy, he just realizes it's his job to show no mercy to any other program.

Recruits are free game until they sign.

Stop crying over blowouts, we have a system where you need to impress the pollsters.

Yeah he turned us down the first time, so what? The job stunk. Clean the sand out of your panties and get over it. I wouldn't want to deal with possible career suicide either. Now he'll come to ND with atleast 2 NCs and will be able to destroy in recruiting.

He's actually a great, devout catholic family man...just separates work from family. As much as I love Weis as a person, he doesn't do this.

Man I wish we had a coach that said stuff like this:

People hate him not because he's mean, but because he's unethical. There's a difference. Also, he doesn't force his players to tow the line. If you don't discipline your players, no matter what effect that has upon your program, you AREN'T a devout Catholic. You're a hypocrite. I just want to clarify your arguments and define them a little better, since your generalizations could apply to other coaches who actually discipline their players act ethically off the field. What he does may not be illegal, but in ANY job you have rules of professionalism and ethics. Unless, of course, you sell insurance. haha.

joe paterno is a catholic and he doesnt exactly punish his players the right way. In fact his punishments included cleaning the stands after players get in fights, just saying

And he does what unethically exactly..

I'll tell you why people don't like UM, because...

I've heard that he's a low-down Yankee liar.

I mean, I'm just saying...

Classic movie...

Hahaha, niice

...people don't like Meyer because he's a big bully that steals our best defensive recruits, and because he made us look foolish back in 2004. I don't think Meyer does anything that Stoops or Carroll don't do, if you wanna play football with the big boys thats the way to be nowadays, all the nancyboys can just get over it. And I don't wanna hear any "That's not how ND does things", first off I probably graduated ND more recently than anybody on this board so I know exactly what the real ND students want, and second of all Holtz was no saint and he was the last coach to accomplish anything worth a damn at ND....

Urban recruits the best players. Some of the best players might be of good moral standing---some might not. His job is to recruit players who will play their part in bringing titles to the University of Florida. The parents of the players are responsible for raising a productive member of society. The one thing I will say he is guilty of is failing to discipline bad behavior when it occurs the first time around. That being said, our current team has players of the highest moral caliber---and no championships. Urban will find a balance of the two when he arrives in SB and takes the reins of this team. If it means having to smack around a few bad seeds over his tenure, so be it. He will be pressured to enforce discipline here. Lou managed to find this balance, and the last time I checked, that turned out ok. Relax and let it happen.

They aren't choir boys, trust me

Well they're not stealing credit cards of the deceased and toting around AK-47s, so I'd say compared to their peers, they're good guys.

I have all my securities licensing so I guess I only partially resemble that remark. :)

My uncle (89 Alum) is opposed to meyer because he thinks he spurned us in 04', lies all the time and is completely unethical in regards to recruiting and discipline.

He thinks the only reason he has even won is because Florida accepts anyone and Tim Tebow runs the offense.

I dont agree with him he has just hated him since the events of december 04.

I obviously disagreed with him by saying that his resume shows hes won everywhere he has coached, not just florida. And also Alex smith did a pretty good job with this offense so maybe its not the QB but the coach and his system.

He also doesnt believe the stoops info is accurate and has heard that Kelly would crawl over broken glass to get the ND job. He was pretty adamantly for Kelly and against meyer and thinks Meyer would find it much more difficult to win in south bend then at UF.

Are you a planner, commodities or stock? How are you doing this year?
