Since so much about a HC coach is still up in the air by many I thought of a fun but serious challange to throw down for the membership Of DD for consderation.

 

You pick and list the ONE man whom you feel will be Notre Dame's coach in 2010.

 

Just list the name of that coach and perhaps a FEW words why.

 

The winner, sorry we have to be inexpensive here at DD (read cheap) due to no awards budget and little income. the winner will have in bold letters under his or hers Avitar.

 

DomerDomain's Prognasticator I hasten to say that's nowhere near what some of you with dirty minds thinks it is, but rather it is Latin for Predict, as in predicting the future.

 

This will NOT be open to Administrators or Moderators here at DD because in Staff meetings they give me grief and gas. So it's a cheap way and cheap shot to get back at the gang. I've had to reject all devious ways that I could win this honor myself.

 

Now past the joking I am quite serious and if you get it right you may as well be proud of it and have all here at DD know it forever.

 

One name please.. If the result is a tie I can think of no one with more honor and credibility here at DD then our rdrdreamer, to toss a quarter and decide.

 

Many members have predited things correctly here at DD especially in recruiting but those are quickly forgotten and burried in archives. I thought since this is a VERY important issue, we can honor you for being correct.

I am going to say that Bob Stoops will be the coach. I'm not sure why but that is what I'm feeling at the moment and it would be a great selection. I do feel however that we have a better chance with a few other coaches out there. haha how odd would it be to bring in Stoops and then play OU in 2012.

As much as I love Kelly for what he did for my Chippewas, I would take Meyer for sure over him. I like Stoops a lot to, and I'm really warming up to Gruden. I just figured that I had to predict Kelly.

PS - I'm a topic/first line reader. I didn't even know it was a contest. My wife always gets onto me for doing that. I'll be like, "Hey Sweetie, did you read xyz?" She'll respond, "I saw that headline, but did you actually read the article this time, because it said 123." Then, I respond with a choice word, as I recognize that I did it again. Is this a guess or are you basing this on your info? Just curious cuz Gruden would be a disappointment to me. I'd prefer Kelly, Meyer or Stoops.

I wish I had info... I've been trying to make calls, today, but nobody picking up. Blah. If I hear anything, I'll tell ya, but the only loop I believe I will be in is the Urban loop with possibly Stoops. I have to see if my buddy can talk to our contact who works for Stoops. He'll have an idea what's up. The problem is getting a hold of these guys while they're in the middle of the season.

I can go with DIETY I'd love to hold it in Twitty City for diety but the place is religious now and few would qualify here at DD.

 

If a coin flip is too random, I did consider a dollar coin but expenses such as they are had to toss that out.

 

My second idea was pin the tail on the donkey but it was too close to an a**s and since that is a deleted word I didn't feel many would be connected to such a word in a tie breaker. My a**s was chosen and he got it in the a** coming to mind

 

Now I point out also it is otherwise difficult to pick apart a pack of pickled DD bleeps for a winner.

 

Now, all jesting aside for some light humor on what is a devisive topic, I am quite serious and would like some of the newer members as well to step forward and pick a Coach they think would be around in 2010.
