It's on the internet so u know its true. and on a fan run site no less.

Sounds irrefutable.

These are the type of things that hurt worse then the actual firing. All of this "speculation" and "unfonfirmed sources". How they hell can the team concentrate on the rest of the season, who would now commit? This just makes our problems bigger.

Surprise, Surprise...

If true, good on them for recognizing that Notre Dame deserves more prosperity.

Oh, sure - the report is penned by Bryan Kelly - talk about a conflict of interest! He must really want the job!8-)

Snooze... wake me up after the season when there is an actual meeting to decide Weis' fate...

this site is going to get a huge boost in traffic for this article and will never be held accountable after the fact if/when its story is refuted.

on a serious note though, da coach, i'd appreciate if you reached out to your friends in the Leuders camp to see what they've heard. If Weis truly isn't fired (and i fully expect he is not), I'd think someone would be reaching out to the current commits to relay the message pretty quickly.

if CW is fired does jimmy clausen come back? that would be a big time blow considering dayne crist might not be ready for the season opener.

I think the simple answer is no!

Why would JC come back? The odds are already heavily favoring JC going pro.....if CW is gone, the odds go from "heavily favoring going pro" to "absolutely without a doubt going pro"

Crist is now expected to take part in Spring practice because the surgery went better than expected.

I have heard the same Coach, and not from Bleacher. Same source, can't and won't defend the validity, says Kelly really wants the job, and that is the plan. Take it for what it is worth, not much at this point, but all of this has got to be wearing on the staff. It has on us fans.

I would have liked nothing more than to see CW succeed. He just is not.

Let's give it hell for the rest of the season and let the chips fall where they may.

GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting...you know the thing about rumors...they always start from a grain of truth..or something to that effect, lol

Seriously though, every rumor that was posted on DD of this magnitude has had some relevant truth to it

jlgyork - "These are the type of things that hurt worse then the actual firing. All of this "speculation" and "unfonfirmed sources". How they hell can the team concentrate on the rest of the season, who would now commit? This just makes our problems bigger. "

I get why you said this, as I agree. But This kind of stuff has been happening here though, just not in the same words. Fire Weis for this and that. People will say who reads this, recruits don't pay attention to this site, etc, etc. But, it's during the season, let's just support the team and coaches and say when we don't agree with something. But I guess I am now sounding like a broken record. Anyway. I do feel sad for Charlie, and the program. I felt sick and morose all weekend. UGH.

Go IRISH!!!
