I watched the game against USC and think Oregon is a top-3 team. They were unstoppable. They have a unique team with unique talent and a very creative and risk-taking coach who the experts refer to as a young coach with a great mind or something to that effect. Was that game a fluke? Who knows but I'm keeping my eye on them the rest of the season (because they are just plain fun to watch) and if they play the same way they played against USC I don't think there is a team in the country that can beat them even though those teams arguably on paper have more overall talent.

One other issue with respect to Oregon that may affect their "chemistry" is the return of that back who punched a Boise State player in their first game and who has been on suspension since then. Will bringing him back into the starting lineup affect that "chemistry?" Talking heads on ESPN brought this question up. They suggested that rather than put him in a starting role on offense, that they should instead use him in kickoffs and punt returns; otherwise, the well-oiled machine might sputter and he might disrupt the chemistry, consistency, success and incredible momentum and execution of a very creative option oriented offense. Their backs are small but lightening quick and the QB can read defenses exceptionally well and burn you in so many ways, as he did against USC. The returning back is a big bruiser and could potentially slow down the entire offense which could end up out of sync with him in his starting role as a back.
