I don't like that matchup, unless of course it happens and we win.

I really hope that doesn't happen.

Go Jackets! The other bowl schedule I saw was much less impressive. It included TCU, Boise State, and Cincinatti. Just looking to the future, Conan, I have to say that my television will be off. If USC jumps Alabama or UF for the national title, I CERTAINLY won't be watching.

i think we may get spanked if we play Florida, but who knows maybe itll be like this game

Β

First, I don't think we'll win out to go to BCS. I'm thinking we end up in Gator vs Ga Tech, Va Tech, or Miami.

Β

I don't think there is any way possible that ND-Florida matchup could happen. Let's assume an Alabama - Texas Title Game and ND is BCS eligible that means:

Β

National Title = Bama vs Texas

Β

Rose = Pac 10 (SC) vs Big Ten (Iowa)

Sugar = At-Large 1st Pick (assuming Bama #1 in BCS standings) vs At Large 5th Pick

Orange = ACC (Ga Tech) vs At-Large 3rd Pick

Fiesta = At-Large 2nd Pick vs At Large 4th Pick

Β

So, the available teams for At-Large would be:

Big East Champ (Cincy)

Notre Dame

TCU or Boise

SEC Runner Up (Florida)

Oregon, Va Tech, Penn State, or Ohio State

Β

This is assuming no random upsets in Big 12 or ACC title games by a mediocre team.

Β

I'd assume the at-large would be ND, TCU, Florida, and Oregon (or Penn State), and Big East Champ. Of the 5, Florida and ND would almost certainly be pick #1 or pick #2 which means either Sugar or Fiesta. I would think Sugar stays with the conference affilation and takes Florida which means ND goes to Fiesta to play either Cincy or the misc at-large of either Oregon, Va Tech, Penn State, or Ohio State.

Β

Confusing enough?

What happens if it is Texas vs Alabama in the NC game?

Β

Just curious. I tried to figure it out myself but it made me drool on my shirt.

I'm praying for Oregon to take the PAC-10 spot. Also, GaTech is in the driver's seat. They'll be in the BCS. Hopefully, the Big East can turn itself upside down with its remarkable crappiness. And, if ND qualifies for the BCS, it will be difficult for the BCS to turn them down since we bring in so much money. That's just the reality of it.

I think Texas takes it...

wow...playing Florida in the Fiesta Bowl? not sure if I want that matchup. I'm surprised none of the comments at the bottom are about bashing ND...maybe it's a bit too early

I'd relish the opportunity to play Florida. If only to see their battering ram of a QB get hit in the mouth by Te'o.

That game could end very badly...

Β

They are like michigan, but with a much better qb.

Would Florida get the Big 10 refs also?

i don't think USC can make it to the NC game. But if we're in the Fiesta i recommend people going to it. It's a lot of fun out there.

Β

Sucks for the orange bowl that they are stuck having the worst game every year.

actually now that I think about it...they're like Michigan, with a much better defense...Tebow is no where near as accurate and fast as Forcier...but he's more seasoned...I think our run D can stop Tebow and their running backs...

Β

I'm worried about their spread style passing game...the way our secondary has played, I dont think we can cover their speed.

Β

we can definitely score on the elite defenses, I have no worries that our offense can score on their defense..I'm just worried about Florida's offense

no way we should play florida. if you think USC's TE owned us, just watch us play against hernandez..................
