I think the WR coach is pretty terrible. Name one WR that has gotten better. Floyd was a natural. He came in pretty polished. Kamara has gotten worse and there are about half a dozen of 4 star WR that are COMPLETELY ineffective on the field. Can someone explain that?

If people use Golden as an example, I wouldn't agree. He was a converted RB. It took him a year to learn the new position. As a junior, would anyone say he is a great route runner?

I understand losing Floyd is huge, but out of ALL that talent (and we have a TON) how we haven't developed one is ridiculous.

No one escapes our wraith tonight... NO ONE!!!!

Parris is their only senior wideout. The kids are still very young and are developing.

I don't know what to make of Kamara, though. I wonder if he's not entirely 100% after getting his knee scoped, or maybe he's just not all that great. Maybe a little of both.

Give Goodman, Evans, and Walker some time to grow.

did shaq even play? what gives thought they were hoping for a breakout game from him? and they dont even play him

Looks like Kamara played instead of Shaq

I don't recall seeing Evans on the field. Who knows what the reasons for that are. I'm sure Charlie will be asked that question in his presser.

I dont know man...ALL of our 4-5 star receivers are True and RS Freshmen...aside from FREAK talents like Floyd, AJ Green, and Julio Jones...most guys need a couple of years to develop

So not ONE WR that is a freshmen or sophomore can be productive?

His name is Michael Floyd...

Player developement has been a major concern with this team forever.

Β

Where does it end though?

How many coaches do you need to replace on a team?

no one has gotten better, all Tate could do his freshmen year was run straight, and that kid has turned into one of the premier WRs in the game

kumara played great today!!!!!!

"great" has lost its lustre around here lately...

No one said he didn't play well, but i think it's fair to say that he hasn't reached his full potential yet. Is that him or the coaches? the coaches have developed Golden Tate and Michael Floyd into the best WR duo in the country, so i don't know.

You want someone to name a reciever who has improved, then you rule out the two starters (who got the lion's share of the work in the spring and fall camps). That doesn't seem fair. I'm assuming you are basing this thread entirely on Duval Kamara, his production surely has dropped. Aside from that though, I don't buy it.

Michael Floyd certainly came in with talent, but he has turned into one of the best receivers in the country. Golden didn't play WR in high school, now he's near All-American status. Shaq and Deion are 1st year guys who still developing. Robby had a great game. If we're including past players, I think Jeff Samardzija certainly developed well.
