USC staged its junior day Saturday with 45-50 prospects on hand for the four hour presentation. The day also included attending the USC-Vanderbilt men’s basketball game.

Not in attendance were quarterback Jimmy Clausen (6-3, 190) of Westlake Village, Calif., and some of his teammates who had talked about attending. Clausen is considering Notre Dame, Southern Cal and USC

Good sign?

I'd prefer to do so.

Does SC have alternative Junior Days? Doesn't Notre Dame have a 2nd junior day coming up?

Speaking of which, why doesn't Notre Dame have junior days a little later in the year? I mean I know the weather isn't a surprise to most kids, and most kids are fine dealing with it. I just know in April there are about 10-15 absolutely perfect days on campus, why not take advantage of them? Kids are on the quads throwing the frisbee/football/baseball, there is Bookstore basketball, everyone's wearing shorts, the girls are wearing short skirts.

I know a kid who cares about the weather isn't going to come to Notre Dame anyways, but let's take advantage of those few beautiful days.

You know? I am not sure? I vaguely recall some were invited to the Blue Gold last year? :?: I am working on an April events now. Then May comes and I believe Coach took off a month. He will be speacking and recruiting in Virginia area march 2nd.

there will be more juniors at the blue gold game that weekend than at this junior day coming up on march 4

not sure blue but I would assume it is so they can get a jumpstart on recruiting. spring or summer may be too late for all the junior days.

hopefully they show up for the 2nd ND day

  • 1 month later...

no need to worry about jimmy being at USC pro day

People must be real bored today. Guys are really going back into the archives pulling out stories from their graves. Guys are always working at the DD. Keep up the posting guys.

I'm telling you'se guyse that Jimmy is coming to the Irish. Done deal! Turn out the lights the party's over. It's Old Milwaukee time! I wouldn't be this adamant if I weren't for sure. I think it would be nice to name a highway after Jimmy just to show him that we are wanting him here as much as he wants to be here. What do you think? Jimmy Clausen Memorial National Championship Blvd? We could name hwy 20. Jimmy for Heisman. He will be the first guy to win 2 in a row since Archie Griffin. This is Brady's year for heisman. I look for JC to pick the play book up pretty well. I know that Brad John son's dad was one of the coaches at the EA sports elite 11 camp and I know that Clausen and Louks were 2 of the uys who were praised on their coverage reads. WITH Louks and Clausen both maKing the top 20 at the elite 11 do you guys think that Purdue would have a shot at getting Louks? Is Purdue even considered a top 20 team anymore?

Hmmmmmmmm? Forgetting about two guys there that will be sophmores.

UT named a road after Peyton Manning, yet he still couldn't win the Nat'l Championship thanks to my Memphis Tigers...I would hold off on any tributes until we see some production. Maybe we can change the name of one of the Casino tables in Windsor to something honoring Clausen for all of the Blue Chips he is going to bring in for us. At least most of the ND 19 year olds would get to see a table named in his honor.

Right! JoePa has some icecream named after him on campus. We could always have a Clausenburger or clausen frys.

Cheer Cheer for Jimmy Clausen he'll bring another championship!!!!! Since we are naming food and streets after him we should just change the words to our victory chant!!!!!!!!!
