I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with the coach. Its called having the worst economy since the Great Depression.

Yeah Charlie....you are a bastard for screwing up the economy and raising ticket prices.....

Β

And screw CW for global warming too.....and gas prices.

... but as much as one might wish to blame Charlie for everything from global warming to the fact that Iran and N. Korea are getting nukes, this one has nothing to do with him. Washington travels very well, but it IS a 3,000 mile hump, so they returned a lot of their allotment at the last minute. Those tickets will probably still sell. It IS the Irish after all and those of us who wait patiently every year for the lottery results would salivate over a chance at getting to another game. . . as well the myriad of Subway Domers and fans.

Can I blame CW for making Washington be 3k miles away from ND???? I mean, that sounds like his fault too!

they always bring this up but it never happens.

washington being far away has nothing to do with it. that doesnt stop USC fans.... that didnt stop san diego state last year from selling out. it doesnt stop stanford game from selling out.

I am relatively certain that before CW came on the scene, Seattle was actually just outside Moline, Illinois, but he KNEW it could do better as a city out on Puget Sound since he is an urban planning genius as well as a coaching one . . . (and yes, the very oblique reference to urban was by design) ;)

last week nebraska just had their 300th consecutive sell out. the economy probbly has a lot to do with it. but here in nebraska the husker fans go to the game.

Cancel this perceived alert... ESPN's reporting that the returned allotment has all been sold thanks in part to a late Friday surge... Sellout streak still on...

I heard that CW causes Swine Flu! Okay, I'm just adding to this lunacy! :)

That has to be the most pathetic thing I've ever read.

You do realize that unlike most of the bigger schools, the largest portion of fans attending the game have to travel a great distance to attend a game. ND does not benefit from being in or relatively near a large city.....the expense of attending an ND game usually has to include travel, food, and a hotel stay (plus ticket prices). For a place like ND, attending a game is basically a mini-vacation. ....this is not how it is for most college football games

That has to be the most pathetic thing I've ever read.

It was a joke.

It was a joke.

I knew that.
