ny
What do ya'll think of this, i would do the same thing if i seen what ND defense was doing the past couple of weeks. http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=4500778&name=West_Recruiting&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fespn%2fblog%2findex%3fentryID%3d4500778%26name%3dWest_Recruiting
PJacksonsDred15
Hate to be negative, but if he visits UF it may be sayonara. Our recruiting record vs. UF in recent years is like 1-7. Our only victory being Armando Allen. We've lost so many recruits to them its insane.

BI5224
"I haven't discussed it with Notre Dame so I'm not sure what they think about it but I'm sure they'll be OK with it." Funny Chris. I'm sure Charlie'll be ok with it too.
ny
I think he is gone to, but what can you do but to just win. I think it will all sort itself out at the end, but you can't blame the kid though. He is making the bigest decision of his life and regardless of what we as fans feel it's his decision and he has to make the best choice for himself. mtl_irish03
He's hearing about the ridiculous times that all these other recruits are having and hes wondering why the hell he doesnt get out there and enjoy his 5 free visits. I mean honestly can you blame him? Do you remember what you were thinking about at 17-18 years old? Notre Dame's prestige? cmmon Hopefully in the end he'll think with the right head. SpeedsterX
Sounds to me like he's being totally honest and just wants to enjoy the process. Get to travel for free and have some fun. We keep winning and we'll be just fine. MHO

ColinKSU
Florida is building a hell of a defensive unit out of former Notre Dame commits. Chris will fit in beautifully.
Ray Herring
We have talent all over the field on defense and we still suck donkey balls. I wouldn't play for this defense and I love ND more than anything.
TorontoCroatian
"I haven't discussed it with Notre Dame so I'm not sure what they think about it but I'm sure they'll be OK with it." He full well knows Charlie's "If you are looking we are looking policy". He full well knows that he could very easily discuss it with our coaches and see how they feel. He doesn't care to find out if they are okay with it. He full well knows we need him badly and could care less if we put some pressure on him to not take any other visits. He is going no matter what the coaches say. I would take him off the committed list. I hope the kid doesn't get hurt because we won't be honouring the scholie then... Basically, the writing is on the wall...he is not committed to us anymore. And he was a big need position...but oh well, we move on. If ND was where his heart was, he wouldn't be looking... Gettysburg Irish
If Charlie is here he'll be here, because that means we had a pretty good year, the kid goes to all these camps and talks to all these other recruits that get to be wined and dined, and he wants to experience that, there's no doubt what school his mom wants him to attend and that carries a lot of weight, would I prefer that he not take any visits, of course, but I still think he is pretty solid to ND
Guest nypd irish
Honestly Ive said this before I really would like to have this kid on our team,,he is a true talent,,however I hate the process and I hate seeing grown men obsess about an 18 year old kid,,if he wants to leave then so be it,,have a nice life and we move on to the next recruit

I have said it before, he is going to a Pac 10 school, say goodbye to Mr. Martin Same goes for you guys waiting for Montana to return from JC. it isn't happening. Guest red8
first off, I am sick of hearing the "he just wants to have his 5 free visits" argument. If you want to enjoy those visits, do it before you commit. Plus i have heard that argument with pretty much every recruit we lost. Second, from now on, should I just go ahead and consider the best recruit we get before the season a guy who won't sign with us?

IrishGuy
"He full well knows Charlie's "If you are looking we are looking policy". I am pretty sure he isn't worried about a roster spot with us. It is not like we have 15 guys beating on the door at his position. He full well knows that he could very easily discuss it with our coaches and see how they feel. He doesn't care to find out if they are okay with it.This is the main reason why I think he is gone. Not discussing it with the coaches tells me that he doesn't want to be talked out of it again. He full well knows we need him badly and could care less if we put some pressure on him to not take any other visits. He is going no matter what the coaches say. I would take him off the committed list. I hope the kid doesn't get hurt because we won't be honouring the scholie then...I think he knows that we are going to have a spot for him no matter what happens. I seriously doubt he is worried that if he takes a few visits that we are going to drop him and move on..... Basically, the writing is on the wall...he is not committed to us anymore. And he was a big need position...but oh well, we move on. If ND was where his heart was, he wouldn't be looking...I agree that it really looks like he is done with us right now.....however, I also believe that the reason he is looking is because of coaching stability. If we win, and CW's job future is no longer a question, then I think we will see a big change in what recruits we get. Sadly, I don't think CW's job stability will be settled early enough for it to have much of an impact on this recruiting cycle.
SDIrishFan
Second, from now on, should I just go ahead and consider the best recruit we get before the season a guy who won't sign with us? Yes, until we can put a product on the field that doesn't make us pissed/nervous after a win or a loss, thereby eliminating any coaching uncertainty, we will continue to see this year in and year out.
