Article doesn't mention Liberals or place the economic conditions in California on Liberals, you've got a republican governor why don't you cite him?

Arnold is a LIBERAL Republican. The two aren't mutually exclusive. He is a Republican following Liberal Policies that are killing that state.

Unthinking reactionary responses can be dangerous. Please at least attempt to think before you post next time.

liberals/progressives have ruined the United States, starting back when Wilson was president. Their motto was that they had to make children different from their fathers (ie through the schools). Its been awhile since I was in school but the majority of the professors on campus were libs. We have self proclaimed communist serving in the White House! (ex the green jobs czar) Every week the administration does something to acquire more power. The problem is that they do so much at one time as to prevent resistance and opposition, that is the tactic of Rham Emmanuel acquired from Saul Olinsky.

Well sure wouldn't want the right mad at me ! You guys parody the left with," yeah blame everything on Bush," yet when an article doesn't even mention or support the contention it's refered to and then it's pointed out, I'm called a unthinking reactionary, who's the reactionary? You birther, baggers and crazies would be the joke of the country if you didn't scare the hell out of the rest of us. Go back in your bunker !

I see skippy is winning friends and influencing people once again. The fact is that the assembly has been controlled by liberals for at least the past 30 years. There have been only two conservative governors in that time and for the most part, did a great job.

Arnold is just another McCain-Rockefeller-Ford liberal who happens to be in the Republican party. NOTICE I SAID LIBERALS so this label includes Arnold. I know it's difficult for someone like you skippy to understand because you can't get your brain beyond the Democrats are good-Republicans bad mantra you hear on MSNBC and CNN.

Arnold came to power after that idiot Gray Davis was recalled and he is to blame for what is happening to here, no doubt. Knowing that the state is in a financial crisis he starts funding pet projects like stem cell research, climate change BS, high speed trains, etc. while businesses leave and unemployment keeps rising. California has the highest state income tax and sales tax but the state government still finds a way to keep raising our taxes. In order to fix some of this mess, he has laid off thousands of teachers but hardly any other government employees.

Can't help but laugh at you comrade skippy every time you lump everyone who disagrees with your unhinged lunacies as "birthers, baggers, :blah::blah:. You sound like you're a brilliant man.

Our state has a lot of problems. Placing everything on the liberals isn't really fair, though I do tend to agree that many of the elected officials that deem themselves progressives tend to cause more problems than they solve. The great thing is, everything an elected official can do can be easily undone. However, the ballot measures that created many of the current CA policies cannot be so easily undone. These are, to me, the cause of many of our long-term problems. The average voter has taken it upon themselves to dictate funding policies on a long-term scale, even though they don't tend to consider the impact of doing so. Until the average voter in CA decides to take responsibility for their own actions, this state is just going to dive deeper in debt.

I'll gladly concede that the ecomonic fix we find ourselfs is a product of fiscal maleffaction, exasperated by runaway greed, corporate and banking collusion, and lack of regulatory oversite, that paints both political parties. California, Florida and Michigan are the poster children of this economic mess but the whole country has taken a hit. It's alway faster and easier to break something than to fix it. I moved from SoCal in sept 07, just squeezed out of a horrendous housing market. The real estate market is showing signs of recovery in SoCal, obviously it has along way to go and the job market there is still very depressed. The conservative arm of the republican party is along way from the reasoned vision of William Buckley. I actually hope the republican party can correct itself into a viable, coherent unit that can contribute the national dialogue, rather than what it has become now.

At some point this thread had to do with CA destroying itself, didn't it?

Yes, then Skippie tried to make it a Partisan thing.

It isn't; it's a liberal thing. The majority of the neo-liberal policies are all failures. They have great intentions, but bad consequences.

I bet you would have said the same thing in defense of David Duke! Mac's comments about Kennedy were indefensible and he should have had to common sense not to have posted them. If your acting as his apologist, then your little more than his toady ! Now as to Potownhero's comment, well again ruffles and flourishes don't alway made for coherent thought and his saga continues. In a nutshell of coarse it's partisan, don't claim that your not a advocate for your cause, your past posting declare it ! I'm not in the business of changing peoples minds but when something so odious is posted without thought of appropriateness, I'll respond.

Need more proof? Last sentence is very ironic. The words in bold are there to show that you posted with the utmost thought and appropriateness.

Everything is "KKK/David Duke/far right with this guy." I think some psychologists call it projection. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_projection

Why so angry skippy? Yes, I'm still laughing but never with you.

BTW, I stand by my statements. Ooops here comes some more seething, ranting, raving and pounding on sand.

You spelling is great ! Maybe you can work on your character ! You are still the littlest man on this board ! There's a quote from Winston Churhill, that fits you " A modest little person, with much to be modest about."

Can't believe you just quoted Sir Winston. Here is another of his great quotes, read and learn:

“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”

I would have thought that if you were going to quote a Churchill, Ward Churchill would be more appropriate being that you share the same ideology.
