Interesting discussion. There is a lot of things that you said that I hope come true... except Henderson to Michigan. It would be interesting to see him playing in a spread style offense with his size, although with his basketball background he may be able to.

Just my 2 cents here

I feel VERY CONFIDENT that if we only bring in 17-20, we will not have a top 5 class

That said, I think we bring in 22-25 and end up with a top 8 class

I think we'll get one of either Parker, Riley, or Bailey and McCay or Prater if we have a very good season.

I think Henderson stays home in Minnesota and I highly doubt Prater ends up Irish.

We get one big surprise every year... I think Prater is that guy... With our offense looking to air it out this year again, and Christ waiting in the wings after a freshman year with JC, Prater could be swayed into jumping on board to play next to Shaq and company. It's a reach, but crazier things have happened (te'o)

As for Santreal Henderson heading to Michigan, they have a good tradition of putting guys in the NFL and an opening at left tackle on day one...the spread is also an easy offense to run as a tackle because you are usually quick setting in pass pro and Michigan will get him good exposure...more than he would get at Minny

Well...if we can get Parker, this class would be rock solid...

Although, I think we would be OK not to bring in a top 100 recruit at RB, we could do very well with a guy like Jerrell Priester who would be a 3rd down back to compliment the group or a Mustafa Greene / Gio Bernard who could redshirt for a season and keep the mileage off the tires, so he could finish his JR and SR year as a contributor...I just think bringing in a guy like James or Dyer would be a luxury at this point... I mean look at our future at RB:

Theo Riddick - '09, '10, '11, '12

Cierre Wood - '09, '10, '11, '12

Jonas Gray - '09, '10, '11

Armando Allen - '09, '10

Robert Hughes - '09, '10

Our surprise this year could be someone currently commited to another team. I'm not saying I know anything, but it could be someone currently not on our radar. KLM had interest for the longest time, committed to TAMU up until the 11th hour, then jumped ship. I don't think everyone expected that, at least I didn't. I sure do hope Henderson comes aboard. If I had to choose between Henderson and Prater, I'm choosing the position of need: LT.

We already fulfilled that prophesy, our ss, Badger.

If these predictions are true, it's interesting to note that USC is not on the list of the Top 15. A relative down year for USC recruiting?

I agree with da coach,

There will be one surprise and I predict it to be HENDERSON TO ND when Feb. rolls around.

Just remember to say you heard it here first! ;)

Don't count on Henderson, from everything I've read, he may not qualify for ND right now and he really isn't doing much to improve his chances of getting in...
