Must have been some serious "violation of team rules" type of thing. If it was some sort of criminal issue we would have heard about it. Really makes you wonder after hearing all the positive things about his progression in the offseason.

what the hell is it about the TIGHT END position anyhow??---- on the positive side every violation doesnt mean out for the year-- so lets hold out hope and hold off on judgement till we find out what exactly is going on-- I HATE THIS KIND OF NEWS__ its early in hawaii but i need a beer!

B&G has confirmed that Fauria is out for the fall semester. That's a pretty big blow IMO. Now it's time for Ragone to step up!

The one positive that comes out of all of this is that he now gains an additional year of eligibility since he played last year

B&G quote - "Notre Dame confirms Joseph Fauria out for the fall."

Why can't we keep TE's? If they go down it should be for injury and not because they're breaking rules... Such is life I guess?

This is a DARK day fellas-- Fauria out for the season-- Martin looking around or outright poached--- but stay frosty fellas--- remember-- "Mama said there would be days like this, there would be days like this days mama said"

Wasn't the previous darkest day March 1st when Tai-ler Jones started the domino effect???

Take the good days with the bad. The Martin news and this Fauria news is bad, but things could be worse. Or they could be better.

Come this weekend we may have both a new QB commit and a new CB commit, and all be feeling rather good. So let's try to take this all in stride and realize every program has bumps and hurdles to get past. Hell, Penn State suspends like five kids every year and somehow they manage to not suck (granted half their schedule is made up of teams that a good high school team could beat.)
