Per scout Notre Dame leads for the big Chicago o-lineman!

That's good to see. I have not heard that yet. I don't think he has an offer, does he?

Is their a Bio on this guy? Weis will be in Chicago the 25th February for an event. Perfect time to pay a visit. :)

Sorry fellas I meant Stroter! This kid is a 6'4 305 lb offensive lineman from Chicago. I think he does have an offer Broker. Charlie wanted back in the Chicago area and this kid would fit very well. Supposed to be real mean!

From NCAA sports Yahoo

He does seen to favor ND in the article and has already been to Notre Dames Junior Day. Coach Weis visiting Chicago, however will be with Zook of Illni who seemed to have sent him the first offer

Focus 2007 - OL Miles Stroter

One of the top offensive linemen in the state of Illinois received his first scholarship offer in the mail yesterday. Miles Stroter, a 6-foot-5, 305-pounder, from Chicago (King) received an offer from the University of Illinois. Stroter talks junior days, camps and early favorites.

"Illinois sent me a letter with an offer in the mail," Miles Stroter said. "Notre Dame , Illinois, Iowa , Ohio State , Wisconsin , Nebraska , Miami , Florida and Florida State are all sending me hand-written letters.

"Right now my favorites are Miami, Michigan , Notre Dame, Ohio State, Illinois and Iowa. I've been to a junior day at Notre Dame and I had a real good time. The coaches at Notre Dame are all good guys and they're very personable.

"Everyone is equal right now but Notre Dame is a school that I can say that I have a lot of interest in. I went to the Michigan State game last year in South Bend. They have great fans and the facilities are brand new.

"I also went to a Michigan game last year when they played Northern Illinois . I visited Illinois when they played Michigan State and Northwestern when they played Iowa."

We asked Storter what his plans are for in the near future.

"I'm going to junior days at Northwestern (March 4), Illinois and Miami in February." Stroter said. "I haven't made any plans on camps yet."

Stroter wil be four-year varsity starter in 2006. He started on the offensive side of the ball his freshman and sophomore years and he started on both sides of the football as a junior. Miles was named all-city as a junior and was named a junior All-American by the USA Today.

Timing is everything. Stroter does NOT yet have an ND offer. Not a big deal. ND usually doesn't have any offers out at this time.

But without a doubt, we are his favorite. I think he would commit soon after we offered him.

Thanks for the correction Broker! lets hope we offer him soon! Can you imagine the o-line ND is going to have in a couple years? Possibly the best in college football! I just feel it all coming together.

Good more complete article then Yahoo I found broker.

BG1 if you want you can self edit your own post and make a correction to Stroter on Teaser header. It's scan a bit RIGHT of your window or open it wide and you see an edit butten. I always $%#^ up  Dang had to edit left to right myself.

meaning ur thinking offer for him chiro?

meaning ur thinking offer for him chiro?

Definitely!

awesome news chiro.

awesome news chiro.

Is it? could it just mean that we are less confident with James Wilson if we do offer Stroter. I think the staff's goal is 4 OL. 2 OT, 1G and 1 swing guy. IMO, ideal and very possible OL class: 2OT: Ryan Miller, Lee Ziemba. 1 OG: James Wilson. 1 Swing guy: Matt Romine

Offer to Stroter could mean lack of confidence the recruitment of someone else.
