Anybody else have crazy superstitions while watching Irish football(or any other sports event).mine for example..while watching ND football with my dad and brother,I've made the rule that no one can get up during the game, only during commercial breaks. And if anyone decides to get up something bad will happen to our Irish while they are up(interception, fumble, opposing team touchdown). And believe it or not a lot of times it happens.lol. Sounds lame I know but I was just curious.

Hahahahaha!!

I always watch Rudy the weekend before the first game.

I have a tradition, but I don't think it helps the team one way or another. We always take a shot of Irish wiskey before heading into the game. I use the same shot glass everytime.

i have a ton. i always watch the game in my ND shorts and one of many ND football shirts and/or sweatshirts. i also have a ND flag that i alternate between waving or draping under the tv. yes, to answer the inevitable questions, i AM completely off my rocker! ;-)

Mine is more like a habit but whenever ND turns the ball over I turn the channel, curse and then turn it back on hoping it really didn't happen.

tons...but then I remind myself that the world doesn't revolve around me and the players execution is what will make ND win (no sarcasm, hahaha)

Great thread Irish4Life! Wow i have a lot of them and i'm not very proud of them. I explained to my girlfriend when we started dating "Some people are crazy and OCD 365, I am only that way 12-13 days a year."

- I like to watch the game alone because i tend to blame others for Irish mistakes based on the fact that they werent pay close enough attention.

- I also take a shot of Jamesons Irish Whiskey the night before the game( I think it is bad luck to drink on gameday) HAHA

- I remove anything that may be have English origins from my house. (No Newcastle on gameday, I turned away a good friend once)

Ok so i am crazy, but I'm crazy about the Irish.

We Are ND!

I always try to drink as much as possible during the games, ecspecially the last couple of years

Lol! My problem lately is that I drink too much on gameday that I wake up in the morning and ask"Did we win?"

i NEVER sit on the right side of the couch..............and, i'm better alone...........

LOL...join the club. You know it's bad when you make up drinking games during the game. For instance, we had one last year that you had to take a drink every time they showed Charlie on TV with some unknown substance dripping out of his nose or caked onto his mouth. In November....we drank a lot!

I've gotten superstitious in the last few years about actually watching the games. In 2007 I saw every game we lost and missed seeing the 3 we won. Last year I was 5-8 so a little better. Which brings up a thought...If the devil made you a deal that ND would win every game you didn't watch, would you take it?

I have always believed it was bad luck if I did not watch the entire ND game. I will force myself to watch the entire thing even when it is going badly. Also, if I know I am going to miss a game for whatever reason (very rare) I pray and apologize for not watching.........not really sure who I am apologizing to.

Absolutely no panties are worn on gameday while we have melon balls and funfetti cupcakes. Cursing is allowed without fines and all shirts are worn inside out.
