I know DonJuan was going but didn't know if he made it to the game or if he just held down the stool at the Backer?

I made it for the first half but couldn't overcome the Backer signal in the sky. Ziggy and I were in text mode, while Fanatic reserved me a spot with ex-players. (Zellers, Kinder, and Becton to name a few) BTW, Mike Golic is a very nice man--as he stopped and took a picture with me.

As far as meeting other members, I assume there were a lot of family obligations. I was entertaining a bachelor party so I understand as well.

I was constantly combing the crowd thinking I would know ya when I saw ya. Never did get to the Linebacker - my girls are just too young and I couldn't sneak em in.;) Maybe next year us "peeps" can meet up.

I was at the 'backer before the game. Had a good time. Didn't see any former players. This guy in there had a seizure or something and hit his head really hard. I hope it wasn't anyone on this board and I hope that dude is ok!! He got hauled out of there by the paramedics. I'm sure there have been many people pass out and hit the ground in that place, but this wasn't alcohol related at all did anyone else see that??

oh, that was don juan. he does that every year. it's become a bit of a tradition. i think he pays the paramedics to play along. if you looked close enough, he glues a pillow to the back of his head so he makes it look like he's bouncing when he hits the floor. it's actually quite amazing how he pulls it off every year. how does he do it????????

Yeah my buddy and I showed up at about 10:30. Where the guy was sitting on the chair at; he was right behind us. Now I have a demented sense of humor so if the dude would have been drunk and passed out I would have been laughing, but I seriously thought the guy was dead when he hit the ground.... I will be visiting the backer again; pretty cool dive bar.

yeah...it's a great dive bar. The Backer is at it's best on a Friday night before a game. Plus, they have runway model type bartender's there.:roll:

yeah, nuthin like a sweaty 500 pounder named tony to get the juices flowin'..................

Yeah I liked "Tony" he was pretty funny. Plus he seemed like a mean run stopper.... Here is his opening line when we sat down at the bar, "We have domestic draft specials and a whole bunch of other sh!t." As someone working in sales I thought that was a pretty sweet opening line!!! HAHAHAHA!
