He visited with his father and had a really good visit. Will decide later on before his senoir season. Made very good impressions here!

the same website that said they heard rumblings about James committing to ND said they expected Fortt to commit to PSU next wkend, so we'll see his reaction from that visit.

 

PSU's fan base is ridiculous like ours, so I expect it to be a good experience. I just hope how unique ND is matters to a kid like this.

Doesn't he (Tenuta) understand the importance of recruiting by now? He's got a guy like T'eo because of the hard work Weis and Polian put in to sell the school and make him feel comfortable here. It's one thing the guy hates talking to the media; so what. But these kids have to be "wined and dined". (figuratively speaking) Fortt is also a kid I'd like to see in Blue and Gold.

Tenuta isn't going to kiss your butt while you're beign recruited, but he's gonna make you a helluva player over the time you're coached by him. Sounds fair to me.

What you say is true, but we're talking about 16, 17, and 18 year old kids. Some may not get past his personality and see him that way. He should realize he's selling this school to recruits and understand he's dealing with different personalities. I'm by no means bashing the guy. I understand he's a damn good d coordinator/coach, but people are saying in this thread a kid was turned off by him and "damage control" has been employed. I personally hope his defense kicks a$$ this fall...............that's how he can really help recruiting. Let Weis and Polian do the selling.

Frankly, Tenuta could develop much less talented guys and win. But.............imagine what will happen this year with the talent we have. We are going to be a pain in a lot of team's asses!
