Simply awful! Who thinks of these colors? Don't they invision the whole student body wearing them when they pick the color? Green and navy blue are the only exceptions.....well, maybe a garrish yellow too. But tan or cream? Come on, no offense to DD's color but this is a travesty. I won't lose any sleep over it though.

I like it, I second guessed the color for about 5 seconds then it grew on me

Source from the shirt committee says the color is actually gold, although it does look like cream from the website. I dont like it either, so we'll limit our purchases to the immediate family.

What are they thinking year after year. I cant believe this. I wont buy this shirt. Its not a big deal its just a shirt but Ive been looking forward to the new release for awhile and this is what I waited for so the initiall shock will take about 30 minutes to wear off lol. In all seriousness our shirts should be green or navy blue every year. Even when you try and pull off a gold shirt its just ugly.

You nailed.... Make the shirt BLUE or GREEN..... They are just "old" looking, like something my Mom would design...

We aren't green. We're navy blue. Keep it at that every year. Or, gold. We aren't Colorado State or any other green school. We lose every time we wear green. Why? Because God is telling us something. WE AREN'T GREEN! Keep it the school colors. If not, then I want all or nothing. I want purple shirts or black shirts or white shirts or something else. I mean, why stop at green? Hell, what about Orange? Ireland is orange, green, and white.

I don't know why they even bother with a committee... who are they kidding? They have not demonstrated any sense of style or imagination... ever.

 

I suggest they open it up to competition with the winner selected by ND Nation... pre-pay to vote (and buy a shirt and to avoid the trolls)... winning designer gets a set of two season tickets for ND Football... and if a student, then defer it to when they graduate.

I agree about the color. It's awful.

It's kind of what you might see at a truck stop in the California desert, or the central valley on the way up to Fresno.

A big truck stop though, like a Pilot station or something, where they have showers for the truckers and sell dvd's and assorted chrome accoutrements for your rig.

It would be a shirt with like "Yosemite" across the front or a huge rainbow trout leaping out of a stream, just about to bite down on the Fly fisherman's line.

It's just not an attractive, upbeat, modern, remotely cool shirt.

I don't want to offend anybody on the board (well maybe just a select few Mods), but the shirt just screams boring middle America! A biased Left Coast opinion of course.

A darker shirt would have remedied that immediately.

 

The front logo isn't bad looking at all though. I even like the slogan, "rise and strike".

But the back is a mess. Defend our Honor?!

Like the football world talking Shit to us for the last Decade+ was so dishonorable that we now have to defend our formerly great, but currently soiled honor, and announce it on a shirt? On "The Shirt"?!!

 

Sorry, but I just think the back slogan is horrible.
