WR Deonte Thompson from FL is apparantely interested in ND according to Scout's shortlist....

I am excited about this because this kid has what we currently lack at WR.. blazing speed.... he has a 4.28 combine 40 time.. so its legit

He is rated as a 5 star receiver and I would love to see him commit to ND.. imagine if Clausen committed and attracted a receiver like Thompson.. and if Benn came along also, we would have a big strong receiver in Benn, and a lightning fast receiver in Thompson, along with a quarterback who could put the ball anywhere on the field... dangerous

Does anyone have any information on Thompson and whether or not he is leaning in any certain direction?

The speed is important but does not match what comes on the field. bump off a player get held back a spit second. It is good but no measure of an actual game. Slow and old as I am if i could bump free get in the clear then it's yards. and aTD?

Probably run me down but I got that first down :)

Scout lists his 40 time at a combine as 4.29... don't they do electronic 40's at combines?

Most of the 40 times that are listed are not from combines yet. IMO, if it is 4.29 than it was not electronically timed. If it is a legit 4.29 than everyone in the country will know who this kid is.
