After looking at Barr's highlight VIdeo again, I do not know what rivals is thinking. This kid is 5 star. I believe he could be really special football player. I hope we land this kid, he may become my favorite recruit for this year.

well, then he must really be interested in ND; otherwise, this would be a no brainer.....

hahahaha... if we are lucky enough to land this kid he might just slip down to a 2 star.

I think it's b/c he doesnt have a position right now. After his sr season and it's determined what positions he may play he'll prob shoot up the rankings.

I just think it's because Rivals hasn't named all of their 5 stars yet. For 09 they had 33. Now for 2010 they only have 12 so far. Anthony Barr sits at 19 right now. If he doesn't get dropped down below 25-30 he should get the fifth star. JMHO...

I agree with this. Barr is a talent, but he's playing a position in high school that he won't be playing in college.

I think he ends up a 5-star.

You are all clearly right about his "lower ranking". But who cares. all i know is I want him on campus badly and so does a lot of other elite schools.

His uncle bounced around several different positions before finally landing at RB as a senior and we know how that worked out. In Reggie's own words, "just be a football player" don't be hung up on I'm a linebacker, I'm a RB, I'm a DE.

Not all our guys have to be ranked extremely high to be studs. I believe what I can see (like Brian Smith HS awesome film being more important that Minter's opinion or his offer list). Barr is truly a rare athlete and he'll probably be at least a high 4 star and probably a 5 star if he picks SC, and none of us want that.

I know one thing for sure though, if he's Irish and decides to play RB, he's goign to have a tough time getting through Alford's Lil Red during practice. Maybe he'll make another one epecially for him...Big Red

Word around Loyola is that he's already decided that hes going to ND. But since hes not talking, I don't know how much we trust the high school scuttlebutt.

Just one thing I'd like to point out. The reason Barr is not a 5 star is because Rivals has only given out like 15 five stars or so and Barr is ranked number 19. By signing day next year there will probably be 30 5stars. if they had that many right now he would be one and there wouldnt be an issue.

This board has a nice echo...nice echo...

Money says we get all of the legacy's in this class. Montana will be Irish.
