I think Beano Cook is Tom Lemming's Grandpa.

his prediction is 10 wins, but he said if things fall their way then they could def end up in the title game which is true esp if they win 10 or 11 games.

 

The 4 games that spell trouble for me are MSU, USC, BC, & Stanford.

 

First 3 are at home with MSU & BC being very winnable, but Stanford on the road scares me a little even though we have a pretty good streak going against them.

 

MSU is always tough for us even when they stink and BC is the wk after USC, so it's perfect for a let down whether we win or lose to SC.

yeah those are the games that'll either make or break ND.

 

MSU - i think last year ND found out how to move the ball against MSU's defense and thats to spread them out and let JC pick them apart with all his WR weapons. when ND went to that attack last year the moved the ball real well against them.

 

USC- ummmm, their usc.

 

BC - they'll still have a solid "D" but their offense still won't be all that good.

 

Stanford - this is a very dangerous game IMO. last year ND had no answer for the RB geyrhart (sp) and mix in a little passing game and stanford will be tough to beat.

 

at worst ND will go 2-2 in these games (losing to USC & Stanford).

I mostly agree with you Ziggy on the trouble games, but I think it is time we kick

Michigan State's booty. First we have them in our house and we are aiming at them.

They are breaking in a new quarterback and Mr. Ringer has picked up his diploma (well he's gone......don't know about the diploma). They will make their living by running the

ball but it isn't a tricky or complicated scheme. It is predicated on one on one blocking.

We will be employing a 4 man front with two 300+ pounders in the middle and will be

pinching inwards with Ethan Johnson and KLM.

 

Think back to 05 and 06 when we scored often against them. We will be even better

then the 05 offense but the biggest difference is our defense against their rookie

offense. We have all the ingredients for an easy win. Haven't researched Stanford yet

but they are always soft on defense.

Beano is an old idiot. They started talking about the Utah Antitrust case. Beano said it was a waste of taxpayer money. You mean, the millions Utah and the other Non-BCS conferences are missing, Beano? Pushing this plus one is ridiculous, too. I mean, are the non-BCS not in the same Division as the other schools? If they are in that same Division, they should have the same rights. Otherwise, just create another Division for them. Beano sucks.

 

Beano also said we redshirt. Really, Beano? You mean we tell a kid before the season starts that he won't play and fill out the paper work for the redshirt? No. We don't. We wait until the kid finishes his four years and petition the NCAA for another year of eligibility for the kid based on previous playing time. Beano, you're a dipsh*t.

that made our line look bad. Remember how Olsen got buried. Anyway, times have

changed and our offense ought to be record setting. BC will have the match up

problems from our defensive front, multiple schemes and blitzes coming from all

kinds of different places. Think Harrison smith coming from safety.

yea im not saying we lose this games, they're just the q? marks for me. I personally think we might run MSU outa the stadium, BUT D'Antonio is a helluva coach and he's getting recruits, so they might have guys to step in and CW has done his best to get outcoached in almost every MSU game.

And for BC, dont 4get that they had a frosh QB take over the starting spot with a few games left, so it wont be the same guy we faced last year but this kid's supposed to be better.

 

On offense they return everyone except a WR, their TE, and a guard.

 

On defense they return everyone except the two big DTs and a safety.

 

So that team that beat us last year will pretty much be back, but Raji made it easier on the LBs & DBs and the rest of the DL.

 

Factors that help us this year are: Clausen hopefully wont be sick that week; it's not going to be an away game at night; our lines are a year older and should be a lot better; we only lost 17-0 and played our worst game of the season (outside of Syracuse 4th quarter & SDSU 1st half)

I'll go out on a limb here and say we win every regular season game but drop our candy in the sand during the BCS bowl.
