I got an email form my UCLA guy this past Saturday which simply said "Chris Martin is a fu*kin stud!!".

I replied to him duh, but why are you telling me this?

He replied back Sunday night and here is his quote:

"He's a stud...he's huge, great athlete and he completely dominated today!

 

Plus, he's a great kid!"

 

I asked why he was saying this, but still haven't heard back from him.

 

Now I know that my buddy is going to a big event in Vegas, but I don't think that's until the middle of March.

Does anybody know where Martin was on that weekend?

I've found that there were some NUC camp's in Alabama and Georgia on that weekend, but that's about it.

Anybody else have any idea what he might have been talking about?

the Vegas tourney was last wkend, that's prob why your buddy said it.

reading up on the event, I've read from a number of different "experts" that Martin stood out the most on both defense as a LB and on offense as a TE.

new update on Chris is that he'll be playing in the Army All American game. he was invited to both, but chose AAA

biggest recruit "gets" yes. but i think Martin's ceiling is higher than both. JC & Teo are very polished. Martin dominates, but he still looks raw in some features, I'm ecstatic thinking about Martin & Teo playing with each other for 3 years

People weren't just saying Martin was the best in California last year. They were saying the entire West Coast, including Hawaii.

 

Manti and Martin are both all world recruits, but Martin does have about two more inches to work with, and thus the potential to be either a LB or a DE.

 

Its early to say that much, but its a topic I'm willing to come back to a year from now. Clausen, Young, Manti, Martin, and Floyd are all solid applicants for "top recruit" award. I could even make a case for Walls too, but thats a debate for another time.

Its going to be hard for Rivals to keep Chris Martin out of the top 5-10 this year. No matter how big a USC, OSU, SEC homers that they are.

Aldridge pre-knee injury was a 5 star. Post-knee injury not so much. You can still see sometimes when it looks like it bothers him when he runs

agreed and he's so humble. man i wish we offered lb - shayne skov from last year's class too. him & chris martin are best friends and someone from II talked to skov's dad saying he would've committed to ND if he we offered b/c he knew that Martin was going to go there.
