I was talking to one of my inside sources today. It appears that Charlie will be unable to be on the sidelines for at least 18 months and WILL BE in the box all of next season! Which verifies some of our guys' posts regarding the promotion of Corwin Brown to be the motivator on the sideline. The players are really excited to have CW in the box next year.

Another rumbling is that some of the players said that they can't believe that CW talks to them like dogs at a Catholic University. Calls them MF's etc. Which most coaches do so welcome to the club kids. BUT here is the Kicker. NOT ONE of the players that my guy has talked to wanted him gone. They ALL still believe that CW CAN GET IT DONE!!! The players are getting their swagger back and fully expect to be contenders next year. MORALE is extremely HIGH!

On another note, my guy says that Golden Tate is funnier than hell and that the BIGGEST sleeper on the entire team is...........get this...........JONAS GRAY! Hands down he says that Jonas WILL be playing next year and according to the other players they think Jonas is the shit!

Thanks for the dose of juice!!!

btw....picked up that book you suggested.:D

Thanks for the inside scoop Chiro.

This is all just as expected-- but interesting hearing it somewhat sourced---Charlie completely telegraphed the going to the box decision during his presser about it " mara thinks i should"--"we are seriously considering it" yada yada just breaking it to us slowly IMO--- as i said since the hawaii game i think its a great decision irrespective of why, the fact that his health underpins it is just the way it goes---but it doesnt surprise me that the players are excited about it-- THEY SHOULD BE!-------it also doesnt surprise me that MORALE IS HIGH-- i fully expect given all the circumstances that go into this 09 team-- that this WILL BE the most motivated team of players and coaches since charlies arrival-- as well as the most skilled-- THEY SHOULD HAVE HIGH MORALE!--- it would be shocking if they didnt-- the only thing i do find surprising is that players would be objecting to profanity-- lol-- profanity "im shocked ,shocked mind you" who are these sensitive orchids, hard to believe we have too many hot house flowers once the pads go on!

If you remember that 60 minutes episode Weis did, you'll remember him telling Polian to "get the F*** off the field". He's pretty blunt with everyone out there--more than just the players. :-D

18 months? Just long enough to give it a test run and make a decision for 2010...

If he wanted to be on the sidelines that bad, he could use a cart. They know that's the best place for him and it's a good excuse.

some of the best 1 liners i've ever heard were from my college coaches.....profanity is at every college

Again, just the messenger. I just happened to be on the phone. I just asked how are thigs going and blaaaaahhhhhh! It was like verbal vomit! Didn't even pry one time. He doesn't even know I post here. He does say that the players act a little entitled every now and then and that the rest of the student body just smacks them back in to reality. I think that's hilarious given the fact that if the player doesn't make NFL that he will need the very guy who is telling him to shut the hell up and be a normal person! I think the players recognize that as well ad the older players and alum clue them in as well. Then again, that is why you rarely see a ND Alum athlete in the new for being an idiot. In fact, they are usually in the news because they are refreshingly down to earth! The players weren't complaining about his cussing as much as they were shocked by it. Most but not all Soldiers, pro athletes, high powered execs will use the occasional barrage of dirty language. A SMART leader saves it for the times of highest emotional impact.

keep his ass upstairs..........

Do you have a sun burn? I was actually in Tampa the other day. You probably could have thrown a rock at me we were so close.

Two things - I hope CW recovers fully - I might not be his biggest fan as a football coach, but I have complete admiration for his work ethic and his love for the University and truly hope he succeeds. The second - I am really excited to hear about Jonas - I would love to see him split carries with AA.

yes, because im an idiot and caucasian as hell................

You know Tiger Woods gets sunburnt. I noticed when he took off his hat that he had a "white" line from where his hat covered up the sun.

Does any of this make sense to anyone?
