There are rumors out there that Eric Mangini is interested in trading Brady for Cutler. I'm not sure of the validity of any of this but it has made other ND boards. When will Quinn ever get his chance, and who will it be with?

I hate the broncos... With a passion. They're like the Cowboys, Raiders, Ravens, or Vikings.

Alright Hejduk, glad to know there's another Bronco fan on the board here.

As for this trade, I don't like it.

As much as I love Quinn, he will never have the rocket arm and accuracy that Cutler possesses.

An arm like that doesn't come around very often, what worries me is what's between the ears. I might have to give Brady the edge there.

I've never really questioned Quinn's decision making.

I am a DIEHARD broncos fan, and I absolutely hate what the they are doing to Jay Cutler. I think that Cutler is a Future Hall of Famer. He has all the skills necessary to be a great QB (and already is one if you ask me). He has an absolute cannon for an arm, and he does really well coming from behind late in the game. The reason the Broncos have not won in 3 years is not because of Cutler, but rather because of their defense.

I love Quinn, and I am rooting for him, but he has not proven anything on the NFL level yet. To trade a close to sure thing in Cutler for an unproven guy like Quinn would be a travesty.

McDaniels has already lost my trust trying to trade Cutler for Cassel. Way to burn your best best player in your first month as a coach. Needless to say, I am pissed at the way the Broncos have handled this whole situation.

Diehard Bronco fan, do you live in Denver? Here in New England, we have read that Jay Cutler has been unhappy about the new offense that McDaniels was implementing with the Broncos and made it clear that he did not want to play for him. Is that accurate? In any event, while Cutler may be a great talent, he is (or sounds) very immature.

The three-way trade between the Patriots, Bucs and Broncos would have gone as follows. The Broncos would have traded Cutler to the Bucs for a first and third. The Patriots would trade Cassels to the Broncos for a second. Thus, Denver would have ended up with Cassels, a first and a third draft choice. Obviously, McDaniels have a greater confort zone with Cassels, but would never have considered trading Cutler if he had not made his displeasure clear. Don't underestimate McDaniels who is young, intelligent and innovative.

I've never seen or heard anything on any Bronco boards about Cutler being unhappy with the new offense.

Interesting if that's the case.

Broncos just released a statement taking Cutler off the trading block.

Thank God!

Give the guy a running game and a decent defense and they could own the AFC West.

Oh wait, they already do. ;)

Cutler is a gunslinger who people think is going to get better by making better decisions because of experience. I think he will always take chances and end the season with around 20 picks. Thats not really a QB for McDaniels system.

That said, there is a very small chance that they trade Cutler. GMs just dont trade franchise-type QBs if they want to stay employed very long. I think this latest rumor has already been debunked by the ownership.

There's no doubt that he's a gunslinger, but so was Brett Favre.

I think he just needs to get comfortable in his offense, and that could take 4 or 5 years.

Also, give the kid a running back!

There have been plenty of slingers in the league, I just think we have one that has so much more to offer than the Jeff Georges and David Klinglers of the world.

It wasn't "debunked" because it was true--as far as Jay being on the trading block. Denver released a statement saying that he will not be traded now and that he will meet with McDaniel to discuss his future.

What I meant is that I think he will get better with age, but it wont be because of improved decision-making, but because he gains better instincts with experience.

I just hope McDaniels can adjust to the players he has rather than vice versa.

I don't know Don. Get a message we will meet to discuss your future, from your employers, is enough to keep me awake at night.
