Not sure about the pronunciation.

At any rate, this is one I've been eyeballing for a while. We might have our edge rushing situation taken care of within this class in the near future, between Leuders and Carter. Maybe one more after that, but 3 is the target # I've been hearing for a while, and I'm banking on Martin at DE.

I grew up with someone who's last name was Luersman...If they are pronounced similarly, I would say Lou-ders

How many DE offers does that put us at?

Carter

Martin

Jeffcoat

Lemonier

Baldwin

Leuders

Wilson

Willis

Royer

Owanagbe

Miller

Fergeson

Clemmings

Some of these guys could project at LB (Carter, Royer), and some could grow into DT (Clemmings, Fergeson), but you're looking at 13 kids that very easily could be defensive ends in college. Looks like 3-4 is the target #, as some of these kids really aren't that interested (Wilson is pretty much down to Oklahoma and Texas, Jeffcoat has zero interest).

That's great, we need a nearly endless supply of big, fast, strong, defensive lineman. The real powerhouses have them in spades. Note: SEC dominance over the past 8 years.

With Tenuta now as the DC, it wouldn't surprise me if we are targeting DEs that can be moved to DT down the road. Get the speed and athleticism with the right body and you could have some very athletic DTs.
