February 16, 200916 yr It seems as though Forcier has a knack for avoiding sacks, (in highschool) and can make a quick throw before he crosses the LOS. Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCENpiGgsN8&feature=related While I understand that this video shows play making ability, I promise you that Forcier's frosh highlight video won't look like that. He'll get eaten alive by a good tackling team. There is no good reason why we don't roll out of Ann Arbor with a 3 TD win this year.

He'll get eaten alive by a good tackling team. There is no good reason why we don't roll out of Ann Arbor with a 3 TD win this year. I understand what you're saying D&D as I agree, but the word out of UM is that Forcier has already supplanted every other QB option they had. So it wasn't Threet tranferring because it wasn't his system, more DickRod telling him that his chances were slim.
February 17, 200916 yr Forcier HAD to win that job. He was a shoe in the moment he set foot on campus, 'cause nobody was a fit for their spread. Threet wasn't a regular running threat at all (could sneak up on you, but you couldn't count on him to make that many plays with his feet), and Sheridan can't be trusted with the ball in the air. Forcier has talent, but he's not the 2nd coming. He's going to take his lumps. And as for Threet, its not big surprise. Square peg in a round hole, once there were other round pegs brought in to compete, it was easy to see he'd be the odd man out.
February 17, 200916 yr for what its worth ESPN dumped all over michigans prospects for at least next season---- i think this transfer is great news-- it guarantees that this team will be RE-TOOLING AGAIN-- with a true freshman-- after last years problems-- all i can say is i think it's very unlikely we face a real confident team-- plus we get em that second game--maybe forcier will be a star-- maybe we wont hear of him again after this season-- in any case -- for this year-- homefield or not-- i am really liking our position in this game---2 and 0 looking good!!
February 17, 200916 yr Plain and simple, Michigan is not very good right now and this game will show us exactly what we have as a coaching staff. Michigan has some talented players on their roster and always will, but they are rebuilding and changing their philosophy on offense for the first time in decades. And now they are doing it with the possibility of a true freshman running the offense. If we don't win this game I expect Swarbrick to start the coaching search and hopefully greet CW down on the field after the game to hand him a pink slip. Sorry guys, not trying to be negative at all here, but I am tired of trying to spin this any other way any more. I think we have given this coaching staff plenty of time to right the ship. This is exactly why I come to this board to post though, because you don't get attacked here like I've seen everywhere else. Just my opinion, but this year it's now or never!
February 17, 200916 yr At least our complete train wreck was contained to one year! UM is in for a 5 year row!
February 17, 200916 yr not be great, but he was rather servicable. Lloyd would have been successful with the kid. I think, as stated numerous times above, this is more of a kid doesn't fit the system. In fact, Threet is exactly the kind of 2nd QB I would like ND to sign in this class (after one of the really big guns).

February 17, 200916 yr i think his best gm was against us. hopefully this sets them back another year. I dont think Sheridan is good enough to beat out their Frosh QB - Forcier, but Rich Rod may give him the job early to get Forcier to work harder.
February 17, 200916 yr if sheridan plays, it will be the first series against teh directional mich school. if he scores he'll stay, otherwise forcier is their guy. forcier will be their long term solution, however i don't think he'll be anywhere remotely ready for the caliber of defense that nd will (hopefully) present to him. my guess is nd wins by 2-3 scores
February 17, 200916 yr looks like this sign on is repaired ? as for Mr threet transferring , per my Mich alums, it appears that he couldn't run the new offense for risk rod and there is two that can and are ahead of him on the chart , per them its no big loss, they also say that they can beat the irish this year as thats a major goal every year, more so that the mstate game, so my kind advise is don't be fooled by this transfer , rick rod will find a way to spring an upset, this is a quote from my two alum friends in michigan. beware of coach Ric rod....... go irish

I believe the UM should be happy to go 6-6
February 18, 200916 yr No offense to your alum friends Rick, but they had you tripping over yourself with nerves last year, and we beat them handily. Pretty sure they also had you thinking they'd be an 8-9 win team, and one of the toughest challenges on our slate. They'll take a step forward, but Rich Rodriguez has yet to "scare me" as a head coach at Michigan. Whatever step they are taking forward, I'd bet good money on we'll go stride for stride with them.
