Wonder if he was afraid of the competition or just didn't like R-Rod? Seems strange that the kid would bolt otherwise if he was looking like a front-runner for the job.

DickRod certainly is losing them fast. :)

The guy was splitting time with a WALK ON. He never nailed down the job, and even when he would start Sheradin would sub in every now and then.

Now that Rodriguez has 3 athletic guys capable of handling the position, Threet has to know that the writing was on the wall. This is a drop back guy who did the best he could in a scheme not suited for his skillset.

I'm a little surprised though that he's transfering for a 2nd time. If he doesn't go to a D2 school, then dang... if I were him, I'd just ride it out and get the degree, but thats just me.

I would think Toledo would be all over him. He lives right across the border in Adrian.

Muck Fichigan......

Spoken like a true M.S.B.C. member!:)

What takes my interest here is the voice of the fans. Granted, they're far from spot on in a LOT of instances, but the consensus vibe is support for Threet, and nerves about the direction of QB at Michigan.

They see what I see in Sheridan, and don't want him on the field at all. After that, its pretty much Forcier or bust in their book, and given the style of play he has injury is a pretty real concern. Not much love for Denard Robinson as a thrower either. Not a peep about Feagin - I wonder if he did end up moving to a different position, which I knew was an idea of RR's when they brought him in.

I think Forcier will be great there anyway honestly. I do hope that Michigan is good again very soon for the sake of college football, we better just beat them next year because we need a turn around season.

Feagin was like Demetrius Jones for UM. They gave him a limited role and when called upon he tanked. I think they all realized he wasn't the answer. This might take longer than expected for UM. The fact that they keep running off their experienced players says it all. I like CW's theory of adapting to what the skill set allows. Not forcing a system on a personnel.

This is not a good thing for us. I go to U of M, live with Sheridan, and am very good friends with Steve. There were rumblings of this for sometime now- since Tate Forcier arrived on campus (he is an EE). Unfortunate for Steve bc Rich Rod and the coaching staff have basically driven him from the team. Pretty much saying his services will no longer be needed , so pack up ship and move along. Reason behind this is that Tate has been KILLING it in workouts per my friends. Not good for us. I have seen the stuff they are working on- Tate will start, with Robinson coming in on special wildcat type packages. This is not a sign problems in Ann Arbor. If anything it speaks volumes to the talent that the 09 class has and the depth they are building at QB.

He is a freshman running 7 on 7 drills. Let's see what happens when mightly midget is about to get lit up by Ethan. I had thought Michigan would be 6-6 this year but now I see no bowl game for a second year in a row. Also, doesn't Forcier have history of getting injured, if so, their other QB Robinson is much more a true runner than a passer.

Prediction for this year ......................................."Pain"

i admit i know litte to nothing about any of these QBs--but i cant help but think QB disruption is most likely good for us-- and a new young starter for another year -- a year where we get the michigan team in the second game--with plenty of the bugs yet to be worked out--- this looks like a good advantage for us!!---they do seem to be having some problems up there settling in to there new coach and scheme and personel

I'll take Deleware State and GIVE the points!

If that is true...which I highly doubt, that would make RR one of the dumbest coaches ever. As a football coach you have to understand the importance of experience, even if it is just from a mentoring perspective.

Also, that would mean RR is putting all his eggs in one basket on a 185 pound freshman with what I would call a suspect OLine.

Sorry that just doesn't make sense...from any coaching perspective

I don't care if Forcier is the second coming of Eric Crouch, because if we don't go up to Ann Arbor and beat Michigan somewhat convincingly, then we have a coaching problem. They have an average offensive line, either a true freshman at QB or a total scrub in Sheridan, a defense whose front seven was decimated by graduation, and no where close to the playmaking ability we have on offense. To me, this is the game we need to make the statement that we are ready to be dominant. I am not overconfident at all, but I do expect to win and nothing that Michigan has has me concerned what so ever. I also see folks expectations here and on other boards saying we should be 9-3 or 10-2. Can anyone tell me where the two or three losses are coming from? I hate to say this, but I believe Tom Lemming when he said we have more talent than everyone but USC. Having said that, I expect us to be 11-1 or better and to me anything less is unacceptable. We are in year five gentleman and it's time to start thinking big.
