He's 6'8" and 300 pounds. He goes to Michael Floyd's High School and we've offered him. He's pretty much a guaranteed 5 star. What are our chances? Imagine Lombard at right tackle and this kid at left tackle. Oooo! I just got goose bumps.

He claims he's always been a Notre Dame fan but then said SC was the offer he was waiting for. Seems like mixed signals to me. Have to wait for more updates. None have been written in a long time.

An SC offer is a big deal. It validation to a recruit in a big way. It means you are the best of the best.

Yea, if you're from the midwest and get an offer or from outside of Cali. We'll have a good shot at this kid. Luckily there are plenty of good targets at OT this year. We already got 1 good one locked up which is huge. That Hurst kid is an equally important recruit, assuming he projects at LT as well.

I've heard that SC isn't that interested. They don't like their chances enough to pull a "Manti" and camp out on the kid's doorstep. Between ND, OSU, and Minnesota, there are three schools that probably have a better shot at the kid from day one.

If all he does is look at the current depth chart on both schools, no question its either local U or Irish. OSU has Marcus Hall, Mike Adams, just insane talent levels on the Oline.

Henderson is a total beast and ND needs to devote the amount (or more) of resources they did with recruiting Teo. Cretin Durham is indeed a feeder school, Rashon Powers-Neal, Matt Carufel, Mike Floyd (I think Joe Mauer as well) went there. Watching Henderson's video's, he just kill his man every play. I haven't had a recruiting man-crush on a guy like this since Gerald McCoy, lets hope it ends differently.

I don't think this kid will have to worry a ton about depth charts, he has the size and plays at a very good program, so I would assume that they have a good weight training program. I think this guy is the best tackle prospect since Orlando Pace.

OSU has had a lot of success in last 3 years recruiting OL, but Henderson would be their best get yet. And the closest thing to him would be Mike Adams. I'm pretty sure Adams plays on the right side, not positive though, but like you said if he looks at the depth chart it should be ND or Minny.

This kid is a 2 sport athlete, so like Michael Floyd, I dont see his recruiting process starting to pickup til the summer when he can make some visits.

Don't get me wrong, has the talent. I'd say Mike Adams is a more put together prospect as far as weight goes, but Henderson's upside probably outmatches his. But he is really scrawny when you consider that he's 6'8". Guys we're saying Sam Young looked like he could still add more weight, and he was at 330, so 300 pounds (and I've heard some say that # is inflated too) is pretty darn low. Not to mention, the Mike Adams and Marcus Halls of the world will have had an extra year or two on him in the weight room. Thats a much bigger deal for an Olineman than, say, a WR.

Not knocking the kid's talent or potential, but when you consider that they have 2 of our "first wave offers" at OT (Shugarts and Adams, one of which is on the left side) from the 08 haul, you gotta figure PT would be an issue if he picked OSU. He is a freak, but I'm not sure even he could set foot on campus day one and be a legit starting candidate, let alone a lock for the two deep at OSU. That all I'm getting at, but he is the biggest fish they've got so far.

Is he keeping his weight down primarily b/c of basketball? I mean, he's pretty good at bball but he knows his career will be in football. But, he also doesnt want to have to carry around an extra 30-40 lbs on the bball court if he doesnt have to. I would say once his bball days are over, he will concentrate more on putting on quality weight.
