A validity of direction

Today has punctuated and validated the direction of the program. We have had a few great recruting years...but today takes the cake. I am so excited for the future of our program. It might take a year or two, but we'll be back in contention very very soon.

    It was definetly a great day to be an Irish fan - one of the better NSD's we've had in a long time, hopefully this gets us ove the hump.

    Wow, is that you rocket? Have to agree with you though. Hope we see the results on the field because we couldn't have had a better NSD.

    HAHA what a day!! And what about getting Martin too!!! hell yeah... Did anybody else just watch the 2 1/2 hour video on UND !! Weis was awesome, I am soooo pumped.... The wife, not so much :p

    As weird as it sounds, I think the excitement of Te'os recruitment will move us up a few spots in the first poll.

     

    Thats how important he is to the program.

    ya know, that statement seems crazy on first blush but...i think you may be right! which points to both the ability of t'eo *and* the lunacy of pre-season polls! ;-)

    LOL, this week really brought it home what Notre Dame football means to me. I'm still sticking by my sentiments on #7 and the fact that Chico has a lot to prove as head coach, but I think we're on to something good...back on the right path.

    I agree.. Weis and ND needs to win that game... 38-0 38-3...... Can we do it? I think we can but it will be a longshot . people forget we beat sc 10 straight from 83 to 93 !!

    That's not going to happen unfortunately TD. Has any team in Petey's tenure at SC held them to 3 points? They simply have too much talent for that. If we are to beat SC anytime soon, it will be with both scores in the 20's or 30's. If we can run the ball, we might have a shot at them this year. Unfortunately, that is a big "if" and one that the answer has always been "no" since CW arrived. We sound like a broken record every year, but again, this will come down to offensive line play.

     

    I truly believe we no have the talent to compete...we just need to see it all put together and executed consistently.

    Imagine McKnight having a heralded season next year...possible Heisman candidate...all pumped up for the game against our Fighting Irish...first play from scrimmage they hand it off to him...he cuts through our line to the LB's...then POP...next thing he remembers, Te'o is standing over him and Notre Dame has just recovered a fumble.

     

    That'd give me chills :)

    I hear ya man! Sometimes a little bit of "grandpa's cough medicine" provides a struggle from the brain to the fingers and makes us mistype things. SJ...you know what I'm talkin' about? ;)
