Hm, it'd be a bit discouraging if Moore didn't sign, but life goes on regardless I suppose, haha. I hope we land one guy today...don't really care who, it'd just be nice to add one more piece to the puzzle.

We'll we've heard them both numerous ways from "reliable" sources over the last two days. In 30 mins we will know for sure on Moore.

I will be very surprised if we get any good news today.

We are going to get shut out today.

But Moore is a waffler anyways...and the fact that he got fooled back into $c because his feelings were hurt when they said he was scared to "compete" is going to bite him in the a$$ in a year or 2. He'll join all the other recent transfers out of $c. Oh well, his 40 year mistake.

Teo was a pipe dream, I thank Charlie for fighting hard and he had his parent's convinced and made it close...but no cigar.

The only thing that will make this day somewhat bearable is hearing about who $c lost...so far Jefferson to South Carlolina and hopefully Burfect (sp) to ASU. Its sad that that's all I have to look forward today, but at least its something...:)

Sort of the way it goes with Chuck these days

I am not feeling doom and gloom. I have been all over the boards and have not heard a single source that had any information showing we are going to miss out on Manti, Moore, or any other other recriut.

Everyone is speculating. Some speculations are being made by because of other peoples speculation. It has been said countless times No one knows what the last few are going to do. They have been tight lipped.

Show me credible info from a credible source and I will be doom and gloom. For now I am still feeling very good about our chances.

What kills me is when people try to punish Charlie for chasing pies in the sky but falling just short. I would much rather have that than a lazy golfer for a coach. Charlie gets the ones he should get and some others that maybe we wouldn't get with other coaches. Then, he shoots high for guys like Teo and just misses. As long as noone takes that away from Charlie, I am happy. I was perusing NDNation yesterday and that a$$hole ACross was doggin Charlie. The guy is the worst, most illogical hater I have ever seen. I wonder if he is really Bob Davie. His envy of the Notre Dame coaching position knows no bounds.

My problem with CW is that why aren't we offering kids that BC does? They have lineman from both sides of the ball getting drafted every year (not to mention kicking our ass). Why not target these kids that can be developed rather and chase the pie in the sky? It just seems like we are doing one and not the other.

My problem is not that Charlie chases the best talent I love that - rather my problem is that we did not address our basic needs again w/ this class. We did not correct our problems with the O-line or D-line my problem w/ and will remain w/ charlie is that he has built his team from the outside in rather than the inside out and that is why we are a soft below average team. This class is a below average class don't get me wrong the guys we signed are good players but we only signed 13 if you take away the K, P and long snapper (yes I know they are important) so in one aspect I agree w/ you that we should go after the top talent - but I also must argue that Charlie for the first time has failed in recruiting.

We have Zeke Motta, let Moore go back to U$C. I'll take Zeke over him any day.

I would hardly call this class a failure. We have players at all positions, just not the depth of USC or UF. We are fine.

One way to look at this is that we're only losing a handful of impact players from the current senior class, so we're filling the void they leave with at least a handful of guys who could become impact players down the road.

Then next year, we sign 25 studs and leave everyone in the dust.
