To do what Team?

D coordinator/assistant head coach?

I knew there was alot of chatter about that a couple weeks ago but then it kind of died down. We knew Miami was interested, but not much info coming out about JT's interest - but maybe they are just waiting until after signing day before things pick up again, I don't know.

I personally never felt he would last long at ND if the rumors are true, he was a DC before and I'm sure he wants run the defensive show again. I think that he would be a good fit down at UM, with the talent that is down there and the high school talent they have in-state, he could put together a crazy good defense.

With that said, I hope he stays at ND and can work with Corwin Brown for a little longer, to pass on his philosophies and knowledge, but if decides to go to UM, I certainly can't blame him.

BTW good to hear from you again......

Great to see you back Team U.

After signing day - do you feel like writing about the shady recruiting practices by AL and FL???

It seemed to me as the season progressed that the blitz packages were cut back. We seemed to get away from the "Tenuta" style as we got deeper into it. Anyone else see that? If so I could certainly see where Tenuta would be looking to go someplace where he could do "his" thing. Tell me if I'm all wet.

You have to figure he was brought in to mentor CB, and probably with the notion that he might take over as DC when CB leaves for a bigger gig. If they put up pretty good defensive numbers this year, which I think they will, CB's phone will probably start ringing.

If Tenuta had been here for several years, I'd see this as more realistic where you could see him getting impatient.

What if there is a reason why there hasn't been a DL coach announced? Maybe the new hires would prematurely let everyone know about future staffing departures.

If true, makes the whole "Romeo Crennel" rumors not so crazy, huh?

Then, we really would be the little patriots.

my hunch is that tenuta isnt going anywhere--- the coaches arent clueless about their team-- all the coaches know the odds are very high on a REAL good season next year--- corwin and tenuta will have lots of value and someone will go to a CHOICE job----brown knows it-- and that HC could be in the offing in just one good season-- tenuta knows it so he will most likely have a choice of ND DC or better ---- weis know it that was his pitch to swarbuck- and even swarbuck knows it thats why weis will get this real good chance of saving the program from the trauma of another change--- so with all that sitting there i think the staff stays in place to finish what they started---- indeed one could argue the odds of loosing both tenuta and corwin might be pretty good after a 10 game winning season--just another reason a semi retired crennel would be a great asset in case they need it!-- my guess within a week after NSD all the comings and goings will be settled

TeamU... nice to have you back...I hope that is a rumor!!!

With the recent hiring of Mark Whipple (former UMASS head coach and most recently Pittsburgh Steeler and Philadelphia Eagle assistant), are there any remaining spots open on the Miami staff? Does Tenuta have any previous connection with UMiami or Coach Randy Shannon to foster this rumor?

If Crennel comes in then I definitely see Tenuta going. Parcell guys love the 3-4
