I think he would make a great H-Back. Just add a bit more muscle and this guy would be a great one.

Thats what we've been telling him, but I don't think its set in stone. There are a lot of positions he could end up at.

This is the kind of kid that would be able to choose his position. He is a stud on both sides of the ball.

Man, I'd love for him to come in and be our Taylor Mays. He moves REALLY well for a big guy.

Supposedly his coaches say he runs a 4.49 forty. To be that big and fast, you are truly a baller.

He is the type of athlete that Lou used to get back in the day. They all could play multiple positions and excel at them all.

I agree let him play whatever position he wants to try. Just get him here!

Barr wants to enjoy the recruiting process for a lil' while. And I think it's starting to get to him a lil' bit that everyone's asking when he's going to commit to ND. From what I understand, it's not the ND coaching staff, but it's the other coaches. I think he'll take a few visits then prob decide before his senior year.

I'll be shocked if he goes anywhere else but ND. Some schools wont even offer him based on this fact.

If he grows any taller I'd have trouble seeing him at a HB in college. 6'4" is already pushing it for a position that requires a low center of gravity on virtually every play when making contact to break blocks. Don't get me wrong he looks great on film, but that's just the nature of the game.

I think Brandon Jacobs does alright at 6'4"...

Not to take sides but Jacobs plays TB, an HB is a slash between TE and FB. Unless he meant halfback. but we do not run split backs so we do not have a 1/2 back.

How many Brandon Jacobs's are there running around in the NFL?

There are rules of thumb, and exceptions to those rules. Not saying that Barr couldn't be a RB, but there are few guys with the dimensions of a tight end that play running back.

When I look at him run, his fluidity stands out more than his top end speed. I'd say linebacker if he can hit, and H Back if he can't. JMO though, I'm certainly no wizard.
