If it is true, that is brilliant because it is always good to get players from Indiana to play for the Irish. They always work very hard and I have to give them credit. Also, it helps that he is a 4* player.

I'm not soo sure that Daniel Smith did receive an offer from Notre Dame today. Personally, I would be shocked if he did. Tai-ler Jones and Prater did.

maybe there is something to this---it wouldnt surprise me to see charlie try to get 4 wr commits this year-- we will only have one this class-- and i think charlie understands there is no magic formula to keep commits if you think you have 3 you may only end up with two---i hope we are very freewheeling with offers this year!

Do you think we will take 4 wr's in next years class? If the smith rumor is true and it sounds like all we have to do is get Cooper here for a visit for him to switch over to us there are two wr's really early. I just have a feeling Jones is going to be Irish due to the ND ties and what he had to say about his visit and I can potentially see Prater jumping on board as well. Do you think it will be a first come first serve kind of thing or will we load up?

I think it'll depend on how we close out. If we swing and miss on all 4 of the remaining recruits in play, load up and worry about 2011 later. If we get 2, it'll depend on the position.

 

As for Smith, I kind of doubt we offered him. 3 WR in the same day would be kinda crazy, but thats jut me... we'll know more by Mon or Tues is my guess, if not sooner.

an ND mod apparently was told by someone (another recruit/player/campus source?) Dont know yet, but none of the mods will release anything til they talk to Danny Boy himself.

Charlie has told recruits that he is taking 3 WR's in the 2010 class. now, did he tell them that before or after Oliver chose to visit Tennessee?

there's confirmation that he was indeed offered, but no word yet if he committed. I think there's a chance he committed, but he may be holding off on it til the next function in order to get some recruiting momentum. We'll see though. There's lil' doubt that Daniel will end up anywhere's else but ND since he's been offered.
