But if its true, it seems like he's all irish.

dont forget about the condoms

the headline says he dropped Stanford.... and then it goes on to say hes down to three from the final list of 5 but doesnt say which 3???

On the picture it says will it be Westwood, South Central, or South Bend...

BYU and Stanford are out, this kid is light years from the type of kid Campbell, remember in the middle of winter his parents took a trip to ND from chicago to look at ND. That speaks volumes, if I took my own money and drove from chicago to south bend in the middle of winter, there would be a purpose.

I really don't want to get my hopes up for this guy but every bit of news we get is encouraging.

Gut still says he is a Trojan.

On the surface, this looks like its SC in the driver's seat, but I really get the feeling that Te'o is different.

A lot of guys play the game, and act the part of caring about academics, being courteous and saying all in the top 5 are equal, when really they do have a favorite and care more about the NFL than academics, while carrying an attitude that a degree is a degree no matter what. I earnestly feel that this isn't the case here. He genuinely does care. Its why he always has good things to say about a different school, and is talking about things such as architecture as a major, not basket weaving.

This is one of the classiest drawn out recruitments I've ever seen. Not saying that SC doesn't get class acts, but there's a lot of Hollywood theatrics on that team, between Snoop Dog, Will Farrell, and Lienart's Keg Stands. I don't see anything from Te'o that suggests he's into that. If Te'o were like the rest, he'd be playing the hat game and making everyone guess. Instead, he's told the field that they're going to get a phone call when they're out of it - like a man would do. And he's already apparently done that with Stanford and BYU.

So my point is, I'm sure the SC guys who have people "in the know" will continue to say its all Trojans, We are SC, blah blah blah. For every "insider" I've seen toting that line, I've seen another that says "don't count out the Irish, seriously." Frankly, I've got more trust for those that are saying the Irish are in the catbird's seat. I know them better, and they give a LOT more detail as to why the Irish are in the lead.

Its not over. SC could have a monster visit I suppose. But I feel pretty good currently.

i have always thought that it was between BYU and ND---this is both good news and a bit worrisome at the same time---good news because BYU and the mission and the religious factor etc-- it seems if you eliminate BYU and you still want a school with great values and an appreciation of the role of religion-- well who else---- two worrisome things why was ucla kept and BYU off--- well his buddy went there and this is a big plus for them-- then of course USC-- burnt once burnt 20 times in recruiting against them--- so even though this seems like a terrific development for our chances-- im actually not any closer to counting my chickens here then i was yesterday!

i didnt know he wantedto be an architecture major. jesus, 2 years on a mission and then 1 in Rome? he'd be 28 before he left ND.

Whenever I hear architecture as a major I can't help think of Joey Hiben. Is Mike Golic also an architecture major?

UCLA actually has 2 Pun teammates as verbals and another friend from hawaii who was recently offered and will prob commit there.

Wow, I thought it was BYU/ND, now I'm thinking ND/UCLA

what is everyone's thoughts on USC also bringing in Vontaze Burfict also a middle backer. Wouldnt this lean him towards UCLA and ND? Not that he is afraid of comp but i know when i was being recruited i asked these questions. As a player you want to know who and how much comp you are going to have. There were teams that i visited that were loaded and some not at my position. I wanted to play early so i was a concern. I dont know if T'eo is worried about playing early or not. Just a thought.

Ricky is doing a pretty good job of recruiting. Gets Pollard back from us, gets Morrell Pressley, and now Teo puts him in his final 3?

Burfict took a visit to ASU last week and someone mentioned that he is having trouble passing the academic requirements at SC. He is currently listed as a soft verbal to SC and I think he'll sign with them but he may not be able to play right away.
