Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had a list of recruits we are still waiting on decisions from?

I know we are still in the running for Te'o and now Moore but is there any other big names we still have a shot at?

There are a couple that have not officially eliminated us but we are definitely long shots (Jenkins being the biggest name).

if we get two out of those three, i will sing CW's praises from on high for all the world to hear! verily!!

The four that are legitimately in play:

LB Manti Te'o, Hawaii

S Byron Moore, California

S Jawanza Starling, Florida

FB Tyler Gaffney, California

With T'eo, its down to four: Southern Cal, BYU, ND, and UCLA. Whoever is in the lead depends on who your sources is (pretty much everyone except UCLA has been mentioned as the leader @ some point in this race).

With Moore, its ND and LSU, with the lean currently going to ND, but an upcoming visit to LSU is on the horizon.

With Starling, we had a great 3 day visit earlier in the week, but he still has yet to visit FSU and Georgia. Those three are the leaders from what I understand - a chance that Florida gets in on the act too.

With Gaffney, its down to Stanford and the Irish. He recently passed admissions at Stanford, and they're the supposed leader, but nothing is definite. I'm sure Polian is putting in the legwork here as well.

If I had to handicap it, between what I've read and gut feelings:

T'eo: ND

Moore: ND

Starling: FSU

Gaffney: Stanford

I feel more confident in guessing on Gaffney and Moore than the other two. But like I said, its guesstimation - not exactly the easiest thing to do as a poster when you don't have a personal connection with any of the given recruits.

Not that my feelings have any weight, but I think our best shot is

1) Moore (60%) (LSU 40%)

2) Starling (30%) vs FSU and GA & FA splitting the rest somehow

3) Te'o (25%) (compared to BYU w a 60% and SC w 15% shot)

4) Gaffney (10%), vs 90% w Stanford

Once again, WTFDIK

hmmm, well, my gut and (part of) my brain are telling me:

t'eo: ND

moore: LSU

starling: ND

gaffney: stanford

either way, calves, i'll be thrilled if we get a 50/50 split of these four!!

i would be one happy camper if we got TEO and Moore

Simply a guess but I am putting 80% Irish on Moore

And I'll play the game and do the same with the remaining recruits:

Te'o 35%

Starling 50% +

Gaffney 20% -

Does anyone know if these guys are waiting until signing day to announce their choices?

Does anyone know if these guys are waiting until signing day to announce their choices?

Te'o is the only one waiting til NSD. The others are just waiting til they find the right place. I think Gaffney is announcing Monday.

moore at 60-40 in our favor, since he did actually say we were leading we must have at least a nice edge-- teo at 1 in 3---- starling at 1 in 3---- gaffney 1 in 10----------------------if we do get one commit and dont hit the big zero ill take it happily

Teo, Starling, & Jenkins are announcing on NSD.

And Moore hasnt said when he will announce yet, but I'm assuming it'll be shortly after his LSU visit and whether or not he visits Colorado.

1) Moore [ND 70%, LSU 20%, & Colorado 10%]

2) Teo [ND 40%, BYU 40%, USC 15%, UCLA 5%]

3) Starling [FSU 30%, Georgia 30%, ND 25%, Florida 10%, USC 5%]

4) Gaffney [stanford 60%, ND 40%]

I read an article from yesterday where Bronco Mendenhall of BYU was talking about recruiting. Paraphrasing him, he was saying he is disappointed in LDS kids who pick any other school besides BYU and how they are missing out. It was quite distasteful and sounded a bit bitter. Specifically he singled out USC for their lack of support for the Mormon community.

Reading between the lines he sounded angry about losing another Mormon kid to USC. That would suck for us if that was the case.

I think you are reading too much into that. I saw an article written on Manti where he bascally stated neither he nor his parents wanted him to attend a big city school. Also read a few weeks back in the USA Today he wants to major in architecture. Sounds good for us. I believe we are in this more than people think we are!!! Kids parents and Charlie are pretty close from what I hear. Charlie has visited them a couple times and Manti and his parents have come to see us a few times. Despite what people would try to have you believe we are sitting in a great seat with him and if we dont come out on top I would be somewhat suprised and lot disappointed all things being considered. BYU looks to be our biggest comp.
