I was sooooo glad to see us return one for a score, first in too long of a time. Allen almost tripped himself up too. I don't know if he has a had time shifting from low to high gears or what, because if memory serves me right there have been a few other times that he gets open and tries to take off only to trip himself up.

Irishfan, I just logged on here to start a thread exactly like this! You beat me to it!!! Ever since I first saw Armando play in the 07 Spring game I've been wanting to see him get out in the open and turn on the jets. That was one of the more enjoyable moments of yesterdays game for me personally.

As for the team it wasn't that they beat Hawaii that was impressive, but they way the beat them. Nice win! The whole team looked faster especially Hughes (sometimes it looks like he is running in mud, but not yesterday).

The beauty to me was seeing Golden make a block then catch up to AA and jog next to him for the score... TEAM SPEED!

That was nice to watch. I also liked it when the camera showed the Domer crowd screaming and the Hawaii fans with their look of disbelief.

You guys forget that Golden has run as low as 4.34 second 40 meters

With what seems to be a loaded backfield for next year, what about Armando as a slot receiver? He's showed he can catch out of the backfield, I think he could be a Percy Harvin type next year. Also, George West is probably the closest thing we have to a true slot receiver for next year. Check this possible lineup next year, Tate, Allen, Rudolph, Gray/Hughes, Floyd. You can't cover all of them.

Also, Kamara, Walker, Ragone, Evans, Goodman. I think Kamara was just having a sophomore slump.

I believe, IMO we have to leave Gray off that list now, considering what is going on nder the table.

me thinks you're thinkin' about gary gray, not jonas gray there john.............

hughes looked faster because he stopped dancing around players, and started plowing people over like he should be

he is two big to try to be a shifty back, hopefully what he did yesterday he will stick with

and i also noticed allen's speed..

when it happened i turned to my dad and i was like, i guess that is the speed everyone was so raving about.

and that was after the two screens, not even the TD return

i didnt get to see that because of 11pm christmas mass :(

anyone know where i can find the last two quarters of the game on the internet?

Thank you Mr. Chainsaw. I do appreciate your mentioning our wonderful posters. DD, the Mods and Admin strive to keep it that way.

It could be as simple as being fully recovered from his injury.

Agree with you here Domer. Kamara is a great threat inside the red zone because of his height. We are loaded at the WR and TE positions!! Hope we can keep everyone happy and they all contribute.

Also, please don't forget Fauria. He has excellent hands and is almost as tall as Rudolph.

Bingo Paulo. I said that multiple times when I was watching this game. Hughe's effectiveness does not come from a shifty running style. If you notice, every single time he made a cut/stutter step at the line of scrimmage he would be tackled immediately. But when he used the 4-6 yards in the backfield to get a head of steam he'd usually burst through for 5-10 yards. I really hope that's something they see on the tapes when they go over them.

Also, concerning the running game, we need to completely throw away the play where we pull Floyd in from the right side and have Schwapp lined up in the backfield with the running back. We've been doing this all year and it NEVER EVER works. That's the crap that get's me yelling at the TV. The SECOND Floyd starts in motion I know exactly what they are going to do...and clearly so does the defense. It hasn't worked....it doesn't work with this group...and it's what got Floyd hurt in the damn Navy game. Let it go please. It's a dead play.
