Per lee and herb from espn it looks like the irish are the underdogs in this bowl game . I would think that the irish need this game just to salvage some sort of a poor season, if jc can't get the lads going then i think crist has to get some snap time, i also look for the irish to replace at least two coaches right after the game win or lose . There is some who feel that charlie should get the surgery taken care of asap . What say you ?

Notre Dame needs to get motivated to erase that embarrassing stat about how 89 teams have won a bowl game since the last time the Irish recorded a postseason victory. and now hawaii is favored by 7 points. ? lets get it on irish do something .

No way they blow a year of Crist's eligibility for 2 quarters of football. The plan is to have Crist be a redshirt junior after jimmy graduates. If anyone sees any time it'll be Sharpley but I doubt that too. Hopefully we pull it out. I think we can with floyd and smith back.

Such is the sad state of Irish football. Doing so little with so much. I personally believe this is a make or break game for Charlie. He needs this win more than any other in his career.

Vegas gave up trying to guess which ND will show up from week to week. I heard a handicapper on the radio say that he would never bet on ND. We have an annoying habit of not covering when we're dogs and underperforming as favorites.

That makes sense. This team is impossible to figure out. They always go against expectations whether they be positive or negative.

yep, it can definately be used to motivate the team if a coach wants to use it. Charlie said a few years ago that it only works for a few minutes. I guess he's learned since that time that it can actually work for 4 quarters if you keep stoking the fire.

i have said this before-- and ill say it again--- this is not a very good hawaii team---they got some kudos for their effort against an overrated and flat cincy team-- the bows will play with hutzpah--- but they just arent very talented this year---so dont read too much into what will be a solid ND win--- it wont be becuase we are improving its just the combination of way too much respect for this years hawaii team and an ND team that has lost the respect of just about everyone!!!------ ND 34 hawaii 17

There's alot riding on this bowl game, I'm hoping for a best effort by our players and staff. However if we lose, then another finger has been pryed off the hold of my addiction to ND football. Even loyal fans can only take so much of staring into a gory train wreck that sadly has become ND football.

I am hopeful that CW will be here for a very long time. I cannot think of a better person to represent ND than him. He loves the University as much as anyone, and he cares how his players do on the field and off. He is not just here to win a couple games.....he wants to leave ND in a better place than he found it.

 

Let's all get behind our coach. Let's quit talking about him being gone, and hope that he turns it around. It really would be better for everyone if CW can right the ship and can stick around for a long time to come.

 

The outcome of this bowl game should mean little to us as fans. This year is already a wash. Before we start jumping ship, lets see how our team does next season after CW has made the changes he needs to make.
