Oh Boy 8 PM ? there goes another sleepless night. :) Can't complain. I hope our guys get over the "Jet Lag." It affects some more then others.

Anyone know why Hawaii got to play 13 games?

They get a 13th game when someone will travel at the end of the season to play them. That is why UC is 11-2.

When is the earliest the Irish can begin practicing for the Hawaii Bowl now that there has been an official decision made?

Do you think they will be on the field practicing this week?

The team will be arriving in Honolulu on the 19th, and will be going home the 25th. Hopefully with 4 days of practice, jet lag wont be a factor.

Someone, forgive me I forgot, mentioned Obamma was in Hawaii same time and may attend. Regardless how you feel about the President elect, that's an honor and prestige. Be interesting to see what geer he wears. :)

Wonder if a highly touted linebacker might take that opportunity to verbally commit...

It would be nice!

Ok, so maybe I'm the only one wondering, but how is the team getting there? I believe their football charters are through Northwest (NorDelta now if you will). No way can they take off from South Bends little 8,000 ft runway with enough fuel to get to Honolulu...they'd be too heavy on that short of a runway. I remember this being a problem before and I believe they would hop from South Bend to Indianapolis, load the sucker up with fuel and be on their way. Type of aircraft will also be an issue. The Indy/Honolulu flight was when the team chartered with ATA and they could do it in one of their Lockheed L10-11's. NW isn't going to put a plane like that on a charter so I would imagine there might be a fuel stop in Denver or LA if they use a B-757. Again, I'm sure I'm the only one that cares, but I thought it was an interesting question about the logistics. I know for a fact that they load these planes to the gills though with University officials, their families, the team and an amount of cargo that would shock you. I've seen it. I've done some charters for the Yankees and it is literally beyond me why they bring so much crap. I digress....

"Get on the ground Speed Freak!!!"

We should put Dog on defense, no one outruns him...
