there was a scout article that we were still recruiting Xavier Nixon, but he's long gone. I'm glad we got another offer out there. I wish we went after Patrick Ward a little bit more b/c holding out for Nixon bit us in that a$$

Here's his Rivals profile. Seems to project him as a guard in the next level.

Seems like he would be a good get. He has position flexibility which the coaching staff loves, and he is also listed amongst the top five most athletic OL by Rivals. But is ND too little too late for Williams?

we may be, but his father played for Weis and with Corwin Brown in the NFL, so there's still a chance.

better late then never-- i would have liked this offer about 6 weeks ago but what can you do--------i dont think we are gonna get any more commits-- but this is the kind of offer that could make me wrong--- also custis at least came to the banquet-- who knows---and the texas fullback--- opurom or something like that--- thats 3 guys so who knows -- guess its possible to get one or 2

He's all BC or UVA. We're in the game too late.

We probably are too late, but you never know. Maybe his dad likes CW enough, or he comes to campus and is blown away, you never know

Maybe this could be another Brian Smith scenario? Doubt it but I'm certainly hoping.

He really has no connections to the ND program that I'm aware of. Most people think he's BC's, and it's not close...but Virginia has been creeping up as of late.

He might be wearing a gold helmet next year, but it won't be ours.

Williams was named All State by the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald. Notre Dame is not listed as one of the schools he's looking at. He listed BC, Wake Forest, NC, and Virginia. I'm suprised the offer didn't come earlier. He's got the size and the grades plus I'm sure we all think another OL would help. We'll see how it plays out. Here's the Herald's review.

BRENNAN WILLIAMS

CATHOLIC MEMORIAL

One of the premier lineman recruits in the country, the 6-foot-7, 275-pound senior helped guide the Knights to an 8-2 mark. The co-MVP of the Catholic Conference, Williams led the team in tackles for losses. He was selected to play in the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Game in San Antonio next month. He is looking at BC, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Virginia.

if he takes a visit, game on.
