I know someone brought it up awhile ago and I think the belief was that he and CW's ego's couldn't be contained in a room together. I've seen a few other sites dropping his name as a candidate and is being talked to by us...allegedly. Would he be an acceptable choice? Would Charlie allow the OL coach to actually change some of the blocking schemes on plays if it was suggested?

Umm, ok, I'll play. Who is Ronny Prince?

God I hope so but I'm not sure there is a room big enough for anyone else's ego but Weis'

I think another huge ego would be perfect for Weis. I think he needs to have someone willing to challenge him.....just not sure we can get Prince to come in here as our Line coach after being HC.

i believe he was an OC at Virginia

Am I supposed to remember anything fantastic about the OLs coached by Mr. Prince?

I really thought bringing in Tenuta was going to be the start of an all star assistant staff. Please don't underwhelm us on this one Chuck. Your job MAY depend on this hire. MAY.

Do you ever hear about how great the OL coach is? John Latina is a good coach among his peers, but for some reason he's having trouble with the scheme @ ND, so he should be gone.

Ron Prince coached up D'Brickishaw Ferguson, a 3 star OL from New York who left college as the #4 overall pick in the draft.

I forgot about ferguson. I just read his bio from the VA years and it was fairly impressive. I stand corrected.

He was listed as an OC those years. Was he also the Oline coach?

In '08 ND is rushing for 113.0 ypg and we're 6-6

In '07 ND rushed for 75.2 ypg and was 3-9

In '06 ND rushed for 125.7 ypg and was 10-3

In '05 ND rushed for 147.1 ypg and was 9-3

when we've had success running the ball we've won. Take away the Navy (230) and Washington (252) games and the avg is 87.9 and We've only went over 100 in 6 games this year (1 of which was 115 yds in the 4OT gm vs. Pitt)

OC for 3 years, O-line coach for all 5 years at UVA

OC for 3 years, O-line coach for all 5 years at UVA

Oh cool, didnt know that. I'm not sure how he would fit with Charlies philosophy to be an OC. Running the ball 40 times a game isnt really Chucks style.
