Ital-Irish
10-2 Baby! Thank god Swarbrick didn't listen to the mob... Anything less than 10-2 with that talent and that weak schedule would be EPIC FAIL. Four top 10 recruiting classes folks. If the excuses counted this year, they sure as hell don't carry any weight next year.
Guest Mikey G
I see no reason than going less than 9-3. If ND loses their two toss up games (Pitt and UCONN) and doesn't upset USC, I think ND should coast into a nine win season with the mixture of experience and talent on this squad. mcdougal93
10-2 Baby! Thank god Swarbrick didn't listen to the mob... Be ready for a disappointing year and a bad recruiting class next year IMO. Either we face it now or after SC kicks our ass in South Bend next year.
1qa
Be ready for a disappointing year and a bad recruiting class next year IMO. The bummer thing on 2010 recruiting is that we seem to have a lot of strong connections with the higher potentials in the HS junior class. That is the most disapointing part about this whole mess.
irishwavend
Yeah, it's REEEAALLL disappointing that we're bringing in talent. Do you guys ever stop to listen to yourselves??? Yeah, sign me up, I want a team that brings in crappy talent. Man, I sure want to root for that team. Yeah, I hate the coach, so I hope he can't bring in talent; because I really want this team to suck so that the next coach that comes in goes through the exact same process: trying to win with crappy talent. Geez. And, I got jumped for saying our fans were worse and more fickle than Alabama's or UT's... And by 4 Top 10 recruiting classes, I assume it is meant: Aldridge's class Jimmy's Class Crist's Class Wood's Class Because, Kuntz's class doesn't count. That's Ty's class. I can't wait for the 2010 class. They're gonna be bad as hell.

I want as much talent as we can get but most schools get some decommitments when a coach is fired. What I'm saying is that based on what I've seen so far, CW will be fired next year because he can't develop this talent, and frankly can't coach at the college level. Simple. If CW gets fired this year we may lose on some that have already committed such as Shaq Evans. But if he gets fired next year we may lose some committments at key positions like a five star LT. Ital-Irish
Yes, I'm talking about those classes. Top 10 recruiting classes in the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes. If you can't win with that, you'll never win. Bottom line.
mcdougal93
Okay, who is the other person who voted for 6-6. I'll admit to being one of them.
Ital-Irish
BTW, this coaching confusion is going to cause me to catch Sir John in posts.
crouchingjedi
7-5 we have a tougher schedule next year than this. Michigan will be better, BC and Pitt will be better. Nevada is tougher than everyone thinks.
SpecialFNK
i would rather have a great coach who is able to coach up average talent to become successful than an average coach who cant coach great talent and the team is a failure. it doesnt matter how successful the talent coming in was at high school, in order to be successful at college against the elite teams you cant just count on that high school level talent.. you have to be coached and learn and improve to become elite at the college level. Weis can bring in the great talent from high school, but what has he been able to do with it while its here?? 3-9 last season, 6-6 this season ..next season im expecting atleast another 3 win improvement to 9-3. 8-4 would be a failure. ndmike88
Weis will be 7-5 or 8-4 at best. Can't wait for all the "wait till next year, we are still a young team" crap to start again. God please have pity on old Notre Dame.
ND FANATIC
I said it last year, and I'll say it this year, if Latina and Mendoza are at ND.... 6-
SpecialFNK
im not sure who all has seen the 2009 schedule so ill post it. ill also post what i think should be expected for W/L based on the talent on this team, and not the way they played this season. Sept. 5 NEVADA WINNABLE? Sept. 12 at Michigan WINNABLE? Sept. 19 MICHIGAN STATE possable LOSS? Sept. 26 at Purdue WINNABLE Oct. 3 WASHINGTON WINNABLE Oct. 10 Open Date Oct. 17 USC probalbe LOSS Oct. 24 BOSTON COLLEGE possable LOSS? Oct. 31 vs. Washington State (at San Antonio, Texas) WINNABLE Nov. 7 NAVY WINNABLE Nov. 14 at Pittsburgh WINNABLE Nov. 21 CONNECTICUT WINNABLE Nov. 28 at Stanford WINNABLE the only probable losses would be to Michigan State, USC, and Boston College? or should the Irish even be able to beat MSU and BC ?? jon33dn
If all goes well, we drop one to SC, and slip up one other time. tag a +/- 1 to that for the fog of war and charlie better pull off 9 wins. and i for one think he can.

reneg
Can I hold off on my vote until we see what assistant coaching changes are made? I think that's ultimately going to tell the story of the 2009 season.
