coastereight
Okay everyone who is saying Poodle is a blank for running up the score needs to understand three things: 1.) It's college football. There are rankings and style points matter. There is no playoff system. If OU loses USC is trying to sneak into the title game. They should have scored more in my opinion. 2.) Many great teams run up the score. Kids have lapses and you can always blow the game. Oh, yeah, ND tended to do that this year. 3.) It's our job to be competitive and stop them. If you want to complain about another team scoring than don't even show up. That attitude is the same attitude we had when we blew all those games this year. atrain78255
I didn't see them running up the score tonight anyway...they went for it on a 4th and long late knowing they probably wouldn't get the first down instead of kicking an easy FG... DiegoIrish
I didnt think they tried to run it up... i thought it should have been a LOT worse.

Atrain, I agree. I think they ran down the clock. Again, I suspect the ulterior motive of wanting us to keep our current coaching staff. ndmike88
Maybe Poodle was keeping the score low so he would be considered as a possible Weis replacement?

That's cool too. I agree. I'm talking to all those who actually were complaining about it though.

Guest ND_Fan
I don't think he was running up the score tonight. If they wanted to, they could have put up more points on us. Even one of the guys on ESPN said something like that.
domeanddomer
4th and 14 with 4.5 min left in the game up 38-3 when we have 76 TOTAL f'ng yards and Poodle throws for the endzone? And nobody seems to think that's running up the score? Poodle's an a hole plain and simple.

Whether it is or not, I just said why running up the score is valid and you can't refute any of those points. They're facts.
ND FANATIC
Got to disagree dome, if you don't want someone to score on you - stop them.... Not disagreeing with your feelings on Carroll though....
imroc
All I saw was a smiling coach and a team having fun. They had alot to prove in a situation that I think they're getting screwed on. I thought USC kept it respectable for the most part.

And nobody seems to think that's running up the score? Poodle's an a hole plain and simple. Couldn't agree more. If he scores there, its 45-3...and no, it wouldn't do anything for BCS "style" points....it was only to run it up and humiliate ND more...and throw in that thug White saying "ND sucks" on national tv and flashing his gang signs and you see how much u$c thinks of us...phuck the poodle, karma will be a bitch when it bites him on the a$$...and it will soon...every powerhouse's dynasty ends sooner or later... For what its worth, the poodle underachieved again this year losing another game he shouldn't have and it cost him a shot at the title game...with all the talent and recruiting "benefits" u$C has, they might end up with 1 loss but its got to be considered a failed year for them...look at all the players they have that will be in the NFL...no excuses for them to lose each year to a complete underdog...that's on him. Poodle wants to keep ol' CW around so that ND's never a threat and he can kick him around every year like a rag doll
jon33dn
dont buy that, poodle would like a change in regime. coaching change set us farther back in terms of development and recuriting. remember that CW has grabbed his fair share of SoCal recruits. domeanddomer
Wasnt running up the score... what you want a run on 4th and 14 or whatever??? Dude, they were on our 27 yard line! Isn't it customary to kick a field goal on 4th and long in FG range? Let's not kick the FG and thrown for the endzone....naw, that's not running up the score. ND's been moving the ball pretty much at will so we need another TD just to make sure. Blows my mind that people are defending this ass. JC, DC, ect... If I'm Poodle...Who cares about the recruiting hit? He OWNS Weis on the field, where it counts. Anyway, USC is doing very, very well in recruiting even with Weis. I mean, all four RBs they used last night were 5-star guys. So were both of their QBs. So were 3 of of their LBs...so were their starting Wideouts..even lightly-recruited Clay Matthews turned out to be 5-star caliber.
