i was looking over some recruit information on the Irish envy site and came up on a thread from a poster on there website saying that he has a legit source that ND is going to steal a recruit from a rival team. Also read that it wasn't even a kid on our radar and that we should be hearing some public news soon.

thats all great stuff if its true. im a little surprised considering how the season has gone that ND might be able to steal a recruite.

By "steal", does he mean that the recruit is committed to another team? Or has another team always been the favorite?

 

Who would be some candidates here? Or are there too many to name?

the only person i can think of off hand is Anthony LaLota.

I can believe we may steal a recruit. Other programs are having coaching turnovers and historically bad seasons.

 

For the love of god, please stop with the "how bad this season has been" crap. Were likely to go 7-5 (hopefully with a bowl win 8-5). That is a hell of a lot better than 3-9! Hoping for a MASSIVE turnaround to 9-3 or 10-2 is one thing but did you really think it would be probable following last year's debacle?

 

The ship has been righted, now look for next year to competative on an elite level (11-2 or 10-3) and a title run in Jimmy's senior season.

 

Finally be happy. Its not like the past where we were good one year then down the next. For the first time since Lou, the future years look to keep getting better!

No inside onfo or nothing but if I had to throw darts I would say Shrive or Ward......

I would love for it to be Shrive, but with PSU having the type of season they had I doubt it. But maybe Lalota is a possibility since SCUM is having the season they are.

yes 7-5 is a lot better then last year but thats not the issue for me. the issue for me is that their has been very little improvement from the first game of the season to the tenth game if any. lou holtz use to say it's better to have question marks at the begining of the season rather then at the end. if ND was 7-5 and showing great strides heading into next year then fine but their is really nothing that says ND will be much better next year.

The Defense doesn't look any better... The O-Line didn't do very much run blocking last game, either... I can't see ANY improvement at all! (I'm laying down some thick sarcasm for those who aren't picking it up.) Oh, the FG kicker hasn't gotten any better either.

I agree Russ. And that was one of my BIG complaints at the end of last year. The line looked as lost against Stanford as they did against GT.

 

It is pretty much the same case this year. I haven't seen any noticeable progressions and there are several areas that we have actually regressed.

you might be right, hes dream school is ND and i hear hes mother really wants him to go there. He just got offered by ND just recently.

good article on him over on Rivals if you have a subscription from the 10-30 when he got the offer.

i hear he is pissed at meyer. rumors were out there that meyer told another OL recruit that he was going for him as a LB.

On the field--No. In recruiting--big time.

Its either Gary Brown DT or Nick Ajajalian (sp?) OT I believe. The only other two possiblilites are Lalota or Koehene (OT from Michigan). Either way they are both needed areas, but I hope its someone committed to UF for a number of reasons and I think you know why.

The poster who started this said that this person was not on our radar. Hence ending the Lalota debate. He's an EE and didn't even have us in his top 2.

I like suprises as much as the next guy but I just don't understand the motive for someone posting something like this without detail unless it's simply to rouse ND fans for no reason. I'd be happy to be wrong here if it's true, providing it's someone that can contribute, but I'm skeptical right now.

It's not Nick A from Naples, FL. either. I live in Naples and that guy is strong with the Gators.
