blmarek
fans find themselves pulling for Navy at the end of the game just so Charlie would get shown the door? Be honest.
will munny
I'm conflicted right now. On one hand I want to see what would happen if we got a new o line and S&C coach. But on the other Weis just looks sloppy out there, in terms of look and his football team's play. He seems almost like he's not well and isn't up to the job. So to answer your question yes apathy/not caring if Navy scored at the end did set in because I'm not sure about Weis.

mcdougal93
No. I have to admit that when Davie was coaching I was very conflicted. But I never pull for a Notre Dame loss.
irishziggy
i have my doubts about Weis sometimes, but the program is going in the right direction in terms of getting ND guys who are good football players. Our DL did a helluva job against a tough Navy attack today. We just need to develop that killer instict and Weis took his foot off the peddle today and it almost bit us in the end. rdrdreamer
fans find themselves pulling for Navy at the end of the game just so Charlie would get shown the door? Be honest. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Not even in Bizzaro World would I ever think of putting a scenario against Notre Dame...ever! I can't imagine putting our team second to such a thought. There are other scenarios for replacing a head coach. Rooting against the very team we support is not an option.
hawaiiirish
If your going to root aginst the team for some bazarre reason--Why dont you just hit yourself with a pain stick or try the phillipino way of nailing yourself to the cross--maybe that will provide the dose of self flagellation you need! Guest irishrick
Iit was a much needed win , i can't fault charlie for the two scores in 20 seconds, we just don't seem to be motivated, the third quarter was very good the last 10 mins were very poor. Imo but will take the win . Go irish
atrain78255
That would be a "hell no"...I've never cheered against ND for any reason
IrishGuy
I guess I am the only one that wants to see CW make a few adjustments, and work out his contract (and then some). I want to see CW kissing the NC trophy, and shaking JCs hand...then DCs hand at the heisman trophy ceremony. Whether you want to admit it or not, CW is a perfect (the most perfect) fit for ND (well, outside of guys named Lou Holtz). If CW replaces a couple coahes we are gonna be amazing in a year or 2. jessemoore97
I absolutely will not root against a ND team. I may walk out of the room or turn the TV off not wanting to watch when we are playing really bad, but never will I cheer for a loss, not even when Tybob Davieham was coaching! When it comes down to it I cannot wish a loss on the players, f*ck the coaches for all I care, but the boys deserve my support always because they are ND men. I also will maintain my support for the Middies for many reasons, as well as other service academies. I am proud to see the never say die attitude in their football team and know that they will carry that forward in service of our country. They have no reason to hang their heads low. D Fence
No way for me. And keep in mind for those of you who aren't sold on Weis, I don't think there is any way he goes anywhere for at least the end of next year (assuming next year we tank, which I do not think will happen). Coaching changes and transition are a disaster, and hopefully after seeing that the last time all would agree.

Still...there is never a reason to root against our team, unless of course your from USC, MSU, Michigan...etc etc. jessemoore97...really liked your reasoning also, well said. Junkhead
Whether you want to admit it or not, CW is a perfect fit for ND Other than the fact that he can't seem to figure out how to coach anymore.
tdnd81
Other than the fact that he can't seem to figure out how to coach anymore. If Weis gets fired who do you really think we could get at head coach????? I say one last year with his guys
Guest NDFAN101
Ok, while I believe Weis needs to do A LOT better, I think if we fire him Notre Dame will fall into this routine of hiring a coach, he not winning ten games in the fifth year and firing him. It does not equal a good strong program. I feel like we need to give it time.
Junkhead
fans find themselves pulling for Navy at the end of the game just so Charlie would get shown the door? Be honest. I was so disgusted that we were throwing away another game, I said we might as well lose and start over. I can admit it. Let the other Homers here deny it. Who cares. Weis's job is not only to call the plays or recruit. His job is also to get them motivated to play week in and week out. hes just not getting the job done. but to answer the original question NO i would never wish a loss on Notre Dame team. Ever.
