hawaiiirish
ok -- on the bad side two important players were somewhat hurt olsen and B smith-- my take on olsens injur -- it looked like the same knee he hurt a few games back when it looked very serious--he recovered from that in 2 days-- hopefully this will be the same deal-- then B smith-- looked alot like a mild concussion or just a bad shake up--hopefully also only a two day thing-- thats my optimistic take-- would appreciate any updates as we hear more details! SpeedsterX
Didn't Olsen come back into the game (albeit playing cautiously)?
NDJoe06
They showed smith and he looked very out of it... man think how out of hand this game could have gotten if we had capitalized... it could have easily been 77-0... let us just hope these two fine young men recovery quickly. chirodomer
Olsen looked like he tweaked the left ankle, not the knee. Thank god! Smith was in a Purple haze and will have the munchies for a few days ..........er.........or at least an excedrin #7 headache!
GwoodND
Didn't Olsen come back into the game (albeit playing cautiously)? Ya Speedster Olsen was playing again towards the end of the game...I was surprised to see him. Guess he was feeling better...
hawaiiirish
this is looking very good--according to charlie it was just a mild concussion on B smith--that he was " chirping by the time i got back to the locker room"- he expectes him to be full go this week!! terrific news
ND FANATIC
B. Smith was gone while he was on the field, I would dare say he had no idea if he was in the locker room or not. Hopefully he'll be ready for next week, concussions are nothing to be messed with, and if he has to miss a few games to get fully healed, its better now than having him get another concussion... hawaiiirish
charlie did say that he would have the cognitive test on monday just to be safe-- but he was surprisingly cavalier and optimistic about this particular concussion and he usually isnt-- that just tells me they are very confident he will be fine next week-- lets hope so we need our best linebacker--
Guest SirJohn
When I not knockwd down last week I had several X rays and a cat scan on my head in the ER room. I can say I am not 100% back, so if you get a concussion it sure weill take time to heal up. Sort of you are there but not feeling I don't wish on anyone. Guest FightinSavage
I was at the game, B Smith turned to the all the ND fans in the West Endzone and gave a big smile and pointed as he walked to the tunnel, he didt look to be in too bad of shape. SDIrishFan
"i am batman!!!" Snickers commercial!!!!!!! Good to see you broke out from quoting more than Dumb and Dumber. That's funny right there...
domeanddomer
Snickers commercial!!!!!!! Good to see you broke out from quoting more than Dumb and Dumber. That's funny right there... That commercial cracked me up. It was his jumping into frame with the makeshift cape that got me. It reminds me of my junior year in HS when I played hockey. This guy tried to tee me up, I saw it coming and stood him up. However that rung both of our bells. When I got back to the bench my coach knew I was off a bit so he comes over to me and asks if I was ok. Apparently all I could say was "Coach....do you like Tacos? Because I really really like Tacos". Hahaha. He held me out for the rest of the game.
SDIrishFan
That was a hillarious commercial, I used to use that line all the time. I thought hockey players never came out of the game regardless of their injuries? Apparently you weren't a "real" hockey player. Hahaha, I kid I kid.
