irishziggy
huge news. Pitt's turning out to be a big game for visiting recruits. If we put it on a ranked team, we may get a commit sooner than later.
Guest Irish1587
how do we feel with our chances with him. I read earlier you guys were saying Carufel was in his ear telling him not to come and all this , But wouldn't his relationship with Floyd be stronger considering the age difference. Basically im asking do you guys think Floyd could do more in helping us get him or Carufel to hurt our chances

Now, I believe he is going to USC.

Guest smw6230
I was very confident that he was coming to ND about 4 months ago. Now, I believe he is going to USC. It is amazing one comment taken out of context ("We're waiting for USC") from Henderson's dad and some ND fans think all hope is lost. ND has been recruiting Henderson for three years already which is longer than either the Minnesota staff or the USC staff. They've done a good enough job on him to get him and his father to pay their own way for a campus visit in his Jr year. Henderson doesn't have to make this trip. It isn't like his offer is dependent upon a visual or anything. They're making this trip because of serious interest in ND. Henderson may wind up at USC but ND currently sits in a very good position. Toughen up boys, this is life in the foxhole. Just because bombs are going off around you doesn't mean that one is going to land in your trench and kill you. irishziggy
agreed, it's way too early in this process. everything's been speculation so far from 1 comment. one thing that's not speculation is that he's visiting on Nov 1st.

Irishman Part Deaux
Won the 1,500 meter, shotput and discus in the USATF 2004 Minnesota Junior Olympics Outdoor Championships. That is only 4 years ago and this kid won the Mile at the USATF. Either Minn has no athletes or this kid is a true stud. I am sure he grew a little bit (6'8") since the events of '04, but he is a very impressive figure. Now to the "Let's wait and see" part. He is a junior. Alot can happen in the next year and a half. Injury, he puts on 40 LB's, or he just doesn't like to play anymore. Let the kid come visit, enjoy the weekend and go home and play football. Let's talk about him next year at this time as a verbal commit, or as a kid that has ND top 2.

Explain how "We are waiting on USC" can be taken out of context? Sounds to me like they are probably waiting on USC....

D Fence
Good point Heisman - this may be just implying that he would like to have written offers from his top list and was commenting that one missing is from USC.
IrishGuy
The comment is about half way down the page. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=3570559&name=Midwest_Recruiting I am not getting the "feather in the cap" feeling from that quote. I am not saying we are not in this. I am not saying we are a long shot. I just think USC is the team to beat....
Guest heismancaliber
also keep in mind that's Seantrel's dad saying that and not Seantrel himself
krazyglue
Also this is from Sept 5. I am sure that our good start and improved line play this year will help us. Its a long road thats not take a small comment and blow it up.
rdrdreamer
Like them or not (Not), to have an offer from the 'Poodle' is a somewhat honor. As a recruit you can appreciate being recruited by a team that has been consistantly in the top five for the past few years. With that said...I myself would love to a part of the resurgance of the Irish. To say you had a part in putting us on top. Like it's been said...dad was speaking...not Seantrel. SDIrishFan
also keep in mind that's Seantrel's dad saying that and not Seantrel himself What is your feeling on him Heisman? You usually have pretty good insight on where USC stands with prospects.
ND FANATIC
There was a time where HC thought he was an ND lock, I'm not sure if its changed, but anything is possible.....
Guest heismancaliber
The word lock was probably a bad thing to say, in fact, from now on I will never use that word ever again when it comes to any recruit (unless his last name is Golic) I still think everything points to ND. There really isn't much talk of him on the SC boards (not yet anyways)

There really isn't much talk of him on the SC boards (not yet anyways) yea but SC's coaches might realize it's two birds with one stone. Landing an elite OT and keeping him away from ND, who desperately needs OT's and who is starting to catch up in the arms race otherwise (slowly).
