My father was diagnosed last year with colon cancer. Well, he took treatment had surgery and symptoms were gone. As of last month he started feeling bad again. According to the doctors, little bits of the cancer made it through his bloodstream to his brain. Now he has cancer in his brain.

I can't take this bs right now.

I love my dad.

UPDATE:

Doctor told my dad he had 2 to 4 months unless treatment works well.

Also, to make things worse, my MOTHER now has cancer as well.

"Prayer is asking for rain, faith is buying an umbrella" -- words of wisdom I heard from a friend when I was dealing with health problems. I'll pray that your dad will be alright, and try to have faith that he will. Faith is a powerful anecdote, and when you have that coupled with prayer, God works! If you get down, just read Psalm 23 and know that your family won't be alone! :-D

My many thoughts and prayers are with you. I will light a candle in church for him this Sunday. Just tell him you and we here at your Domain are concerned and love him.

I know these situations are very difficult to handle but handle them you must.

I lost my Dad when he had a colin section removal and routed out through his stomach. They showed me how to change the bag attached to his abdomin for the excretement but he died of a heart attack 3 days later.

I was visiting him near the end and his thoughts were of ME. I was at his bedside and he said "What are you doing here go get your ring? I had bowled a perfect 300 in an ABC sanctioned league months ago and he wanted to see it. I was supposed to go to a banquet to pick up my gold diamond and ruby 300 ring and awards that day. I just said Aw hell Dad that crap is unimportant. Your important and they can mail it to me."

I was there when they shut off life support at his end.

The hardest day in my life when Me and my two sisters had to give approval to do so to the hospital after all hope was gone.

Just to say I know what you are going through my friend. Hang in there and lets hope he recovers.

Remember your best times with your Dad. It helps.

Thanks everyone. No further updates yet really. My mother should find out soon if surgery is an option. She is very healthy otherwise. Never smoked, never drank, and works out nearly everyday.

Just the HOPE that it is operable is the only thing keeping me sane right now.

My dad is taking treatment. Chemo and steroids. He has aged quite a bit over the last couple of months. He is still staying positive.

Again, Thanks for the support.
