DJonesIRISH
I was listening to power hour tonight and MF mentioned that we may have a 2010 commitment soon. Just wondered if anyone had thoughts on who that may be?
mat33
My guess is Anthony Barr or Chance Martin
DJonesIRISH
Could you elaborate on what their position, state, and talent level is?
Ricochet
I've heard nothing but I get the feeling that if there is a early 2010 commit that it will be TE C.J. Fiedorowicz. ND's most likely taking only 1 TE in 2010 and with the usage and success of TE's that he will want to grab it.
Katzenboyer
My guess would be Anthony Barr out of Cali. Probably will be a 4 star guy, but I could see him being a 5*. His uncle and father both played at ND. He's 6'3 230 as a junior, and most see him as a linebacker, but I'd love to see him as a Taylor Mays-type safety. GwoodND
Isn't Barr's Unlces the Brooks brothers...If so I see him comeing ND and one of the first one to commit for 2010.

Tony is actually his father, and Reggie is then obviously his uncle. Saw a couple short clips of this kid as an RB, looked like a man amongst boys. Looked similar to how Ryan Grant's film was in HS, running straight and high, but you saw him run a couple of overmatched guys over. Much like his father and uncle, it would be great to bring him in as a ATH then see where he shakes out.
D Fence
There's also Tailer Jones, Andres's son, from ATL.
Guest IrishCT
Im thinking either Chance Carter or Anthony Barr. Maybe Seantrel Henderson but that is more of a hope thing.
Semper Fi ND du Lac
Considering Barr is visiting this week, I’ll go with him.
IrishCalves
No inside anything (frankly I think my "inside" knowledge is overrated in these parts), but at any rate if it were anyone it'd be Barr or Fiedorowicz. With the former, makes sense due to family interests and when he's visiting. Beyond that, I don't see it. With the latter though, we're clearly all wrapped up in TE recruiting, so we have nobody to scare off should he pull the trigger.
Katzenboyer
Just to be clear, getting Barr would be a HUGE pickup. He's definitely going to be in the Rivals 100 and will probably be one of the top Cali prospects next year. This isn't a Golic-type commitment (not knocking Golic, but he was a legacy who has a lot of work ahead of him if he wants to see the field). Barr is a player. I know what you mean but the Golic kids are good, very good just not instant impact types.
irishziggy
I know what you mean but the Golic kids are good, very good just not instant impact types. agreed. Mike Golic Jr. did a good job in the AAA game vs. top tier talent and he's going to get a lot bigger.
Guest laxkid2323
Chance Carter.
blarney_stank
While I love our chances with Barr, especially because his dad only lives 45 minutes from campus, I didn't get the impression from him that he would be committing quickly. I think he had a good time on his visit and it was just as he remembered. I do expect him to take some other visits to provide a basis for comparison. blarney_stank
Chance Carter. Is this a guess, your opinion or do you have some information that would lead you to believe this?
